It still often didn't matter, regardless of how many super enchanted daedric weapons I had. It still took a tedious amount of time to kill enemies in OB, that it ended up becoming super boring.
Which is why Deadly Reflex mod + the various overhauls were such a godsend, as damage actually ended up being a thing, along with enemies not having retardedly high amount of HP, due to bethesda's inability to scale properly in that game.
Hell, Morrowind didn't need such overhauls, and it didn't take a minute just to kill some jobber enemy by the time you were high level, or even at low level too, and you could satisfyingly go through the game with a weapon or two, instead of having to cover all bases all the time at every point.
