Got $46 in store credit and that's around $120 (Due to owning a large number of the awful trannygames already). I feel like I should remove 90% of that cart but I dunno. Thea and Mordheim are mostly the only 100% buys, everything else is varying degrees of want. Shit like Huniepop I don't even particularly want, but at $3 it's cheap enough I feel obligated to look at some cartoon cunts, then shit like Elite Horizons and Conquest of Elysium are things I want but the prices aren't all that hot.

The Long Dark is great.
It's probably the most refined and complete sandbox survival game currently available, despite still being in early access.
They just added a while bunch of challenge modes in addition to the sandbox.
The first season of the campaign is coming out soon™.
Very strong recommend.
The only real downside is that long-term survival can become tedious.

The aforementioned challenge modes are pretty fun, especially the one where you have to cross half the map with a bear chasing you.
The campaign mode should be in soon™, supposedly this Spring and they just opened up a testing branch for it so actually soon most likely.
The sandbox is still very open ended which is kind of the point, but as said before it gets pretty tedious after the first hundred days. The new areas they keep adding helps this, though. There are five huge areas now and a whole ton of smaller transitional ones.

If you're looking for good humor and a more open world experience go for fable, but if your looking for a more tactical team based rpg go with dragon age. Ryse is one of the worst games I've ever played. The combat is tedious to the point of me not even wanting to finish the game, let alone the level I was on. Just press the same two buttons repeatedly. If they had of made it a more traditional hack and slash with combos and such it could have been really good, but the combat system as it is is trash tier, and isn't even worth a dollar.

You'll probably start off ferrying npcs you never see between stations in different sectors, crawling towards ship upgrades to becomes a short distance small cargo transport. Eventually you'll splurge on an actual transport to do the same more efficiently or if you're brave, a small fighter to do combat missions and capture ships. From there it's raising capital to not only build and fund your own trading stations, but also protect them and supply yourself with enough shit to have FUN. Shit includes hundreds of ships between the various races, relations and economies to provide context, and occasionally tetris aliens or pirates warping in and fucking everything up if there isn't a patrol nearby (player owned or otherwise).
That's the main series and again, I haven't played Rebirth but everything I've seen of it seems like it's thrown the X series fundamentals to the winds

Yep. They nerfed payouts for billboard missions, made 80% of smuggling missions fail upon scan, and locked 3rd party software out of trading info. They also made combat AI cheat (unlimited chaff with 10sec cooldown). All the new ships they've released that aren't literally worthless are locked behind 40+ hours of faction rep grinding each in addition to costing 200mil+ credits.
Horizons is also literally worthless. Wait until next season when they add ship interiors.

Bit late but the combat is great for an ARPG. It has the DMC style delayed attack combos on normal attacks, also 6 slots for other class abilities that get increasingly ridiculous (shooting a party member into an enemy, spidermanning enemies to the ground, becoming an ATATATATATATATATA sword machine while invincible from the front, pepping your greatsword into an instrument of divine retribution, sorcerer spells in general)
Would recommend on the combat, what I'll say though is that due to the mostly static spawns it's a game that rarely gets harder. If you play it do the main game first and stall before the final end, the dungeon there is really good. Don't touch Bitterbutt Isle before you're done with that because the xp gains and equipment are so ridiculous they'll trivialise the mainland

This isn't even a joke. I picked a fight with a Deadly Cobra MkIV since even with the AI pulling bullshit impossible turns, that ship is so slow and unmaneuverable that you can still stay behind it.
I just followed behind it poking at it with a gimbaled laser occasionally. I checked his loadout and saw he had exactly one chaff launcher.
He chaffed 11 times (1 primed charge + all 10 in the mag) over the span of a couple minutes.
Then I zapped him a couple more times and he chaffed for the 12th time.
I got him to chaff 20 times before I decided to just kill him.
AIs have unlimited fuel and railgun ammo too, in case anyone's curious.

I just got it. Traditional JRPG: turn-based combat, sprite-based graphics. No party.
Combat deviates from being pure-vanilla by having a purely turn-based ATB system (sorry for the retarded description). Imagine playing FF6 with Battle Mode: Wait instead of Active.
Combat is entirely centred around this, and each action has a listed time cost, effect, and defense. The enemy's attributes for their currently queued attack are also displayed.
Shallowly, this creates a kind of rock-paper-scissors effect, also I found that the "best" course of action is rarely clear-cut past the first few enemy types.

No them, but it's either gimmicks or balance issues. Depends which one you're talking about. CoD4: Modern Warfare stumbled onto the formula, and it was perfected by about MW3/Blops2. And then they kept making games because profit motive, so you get a stream of games that shake up the balance just for the sake of novelty followed by games that think taking the model and taping parkour or cooldowns on to it will keep it fresh.

It's hard to compare. 1 unit per tile makes it simultaneously easier and harder to manage combat and wartime scenarios. I prefer it, but I can see where mass mobilizations would be incredibly tedious and frustrating. I don't usually go full warmonger.
Early game is a bit more diverse than Civ4 with the DLC thanks to religion and civics and such, but midgame can stagnate due to global happiness and research scaling making rapid expansionism a difficult prospect. Late game is interesting though, especially with the BNW espionage and ideology bullshit.
Dunno. I like Civ V. But then my favorite Civ used to be Call to Power.

Yes they are real fun to play. I played all three vanilla but there are plenty of huge mods that make the games smoother, polished, and extremely difficult. People will agree that Clear Sky is sorta bad compared to the others but don't skip it. Overall great series. It aged really well and at times when you aren't shitting your pants the game is pretty damn comfy.

There's a lot of stuff to do, the combat is more refined than skyrim even if the balance is a bit shitty right now (for PvP) but it doesn't have much replayability in the PvE questing area other than endgame gear farming which is achieved by delving daily.
PvP is the main reason to come back to the game though, i've had countless fun hours doing crazy shenanigans in cyro with some guildies.
You can find the game online even cheaper though, take a look into the general if it's still alive.

Yes. Yes you should. It's actually one of those rare DLCs where it feels like a complete sequel. Fresh story, OST, characters, and juuuust enough new elements of gameplay that it's not merely a "level pack" of the 1st game.

It's not shit, it's just not Bioshock 3 the way that Bioshock 2 was "Bioshock with new stuff in it". There's a lot they change, especially atmospherically, so that the oppressive feeling of the first two games is largely gone. The dual-wielding is refined somewhat, there aren't as many little pathing choices, and the enemies tend to be either aggressive and hard or exploitable and hilarious, with not a lot of middle ground.
That said, it's a fun "what if" on the Bioshock narrative that basically says "what if instead of Libertarians Gone Wild, Rapture was more of a Red-Blooded Patriotland taken to the logical extreme" and then adds Bioshock elements like Plasmids to the mix.
RPG Maker MV or Appgamekit 2? Both are nearly the same price.

No, and anyone who tells you it is is a lying scumbag. It's a great game and genuinely more interesting and fun than the first two Bioshock games. The atmosphere and world are awesome, the story is good, and the shooting is refined. The only thing worse are the vigors, Infinite's version of plasmids, and a lot of them are kind of bland and weak.
