Basically, EVERY SINGLE REVIEW has been positive.
Everyone recommends it.
NWR and Twitter guy both are a little upset with certain parts of the game, but recommend it overall. (NWR specifically doesn't like bad ends or violence, while Twitterguy doesn't feel like some of the twists in the story).

free wins everytime when the game is scene for scene the same at a slightly lower resolution. Also I find the vita feels like ass to hold and I could hold my 3ds xl for 48 hours without hand cramps. As far as I know, reviewers don't have the PC version yet, just 3DS and Vita, since the PC version's published by Spike Chunsoft instead of Aksys. But the 3DS version does seem to be pretty poorly made.

Thing is, I did like a bunch of things in Remember11 and it had better pacing than Ever17 but I was a little weirded out by the explanation behind the culpritthe mind of a fetus in an adult's bodies that have no sense of morality killing people because they don't know their own strength. Self was also interesting but more confusing than Blick Winkel.

He also takes off a few points because the 3ds version has performance issues, and he mentions on his Twitter that he'd give the Vita and the PC version 8/10 instead if they don't have the issues the 3ds did.

He criticizes the puzzles being mechanically obtuse, the violence relying more on shock value compared to the previous games and seeming more tasteless, and scenes that require repetition until you get a specific randomly determined outcome to progress. Light and Clover are not blood relatives - this is glossed over in the NA version when Junpei says they don't look like siblings, but the Japanese version pretty much says straight up that one kf them was adopted.
As well, Snake's powers are the only ones we don't know anything about. Clover's powers seem to have gotten absorbed in the Ambidex game by Phi, but Snake's powers work when he's at SOIS's HQ with all the other ESPer's, indicating that he's at least stronger than all the others from the first nonary game.

So this is the explanation from NeoGAF on how you can "play the game wrong".
If that's true then it's bit concerning that passed QC.In one of the escape rooms that you can play from early on in the game, one of the final puzzles is to order three colored liquids in the correct order. You have 8 or so options for what colors you can pick, and you can reuse the same color in the order. This gives thousands upon thousands of possibilities. I spent thirty minutes looking through everything I had obtained and every object in the room, yet all I was told in dialogue was "maybe we already have the answer."
Turns out that if I had looked at items in the room in a different ORDER, the dialogue would have been different - and told me the answer. I tried this in a separate playthrough of the room and it definitely happened. I got the answer on what went wrong directly from Aksys Games. I played the room wrong, apparently.

You actually have to progress through a route in which Q witnesses the gruesome death of Eric and Mira after being betrayed by the C Team. Q gets pretty dark in this route, and fucks up the other teams, including the Mastermind. The conclusion of this route has Q being reintroduced to Brother, who commends his success in the operation. After recovering his memories, he remembers that he was entered into the game as a form of atonement for a previous mistake, which was when Q, as a child, ran away with one of the FtS caretakers, intending to live a normal life with her as mother and son. Why would anyone possibly shout that out when potentially facing one of the most painful deaths possible? I had the exact same appearance. I'd read that 999 was a prequel that involved a few characters, and that Akane was important, but that was it. I had just the right amount of background knowledge and it made VLR blow my fucking mind. I didn't know about the espers, just the concept of the Nonary game so it was amazing.
