Are Daedra good or bad?
>>
>edgelords the race
>>
They're beyond normal morality because they're from a different plane of existence. Shit works differently there.

Which means don't blame them for how they act, but feel no pity for them either.

Basically they have the complex morality of a tornado.
>>
>>342166467
Imagine being summoned to a world of talking farm animals. Wallowing in their filth, clucking and snorting and every now and again you see one wearing a military gear.

Thats what it is like to be a daedra.

They're usually evil. The only Daedra that can be interpreted as good are Azura, Ebonarm, Nocturnal and Meridia. And maybe Malacath.
>>
>>342167119
>very now and again you see one wearing your cousin and his entire family

Daedra can't pull that high being bullshit when they can be made into boots like that.
>>
>>342166467
Good and evil are subjective terms anon. The Daedra want to subjugate you, and for you this makes them an evil existence. As for the Daedra, they don't care either way. You are too insignificant for them to ponder the morality or ramifications of killing you.
>>
>>342167967
Ebonarm isn't a deadra.
He is a image of Ramen Cyrodiil. He was Ysmir before Tiber Septim(also Talos is actually 3 people) became Ysmir.
Also he hates all deadra except Sheogorath for some reason.

Yet repeatedly daedra get beaten the fuck down
I want to see a dremora or something who realized that sooner or later, of all the mortals you taunt, one of them will turn out to be an adventurer who will royally fuck you up, and being infinite means you have a guaranteed chance that this will happen.
So starts being a little bit nicer because he's kind of existentially terrified of mortals.

To be fair, the Second Era has always been fairly devoid of chronicled events which is why they chose it as the setting.

Anything could have happened during the period, and I'd like to remind you that things such as Dragon Breaks exist in TES lore so they could just say there was a Dragon Break and a bunch of shit happened but no one's sure.

Tbh you can just ignore it, it doesn't really add or take anything from the series.
>>
>>342176754
Because Jyggy just got absorbed back in Sheogorath. It's an endless cycle, and isn't about stopping the Greymarch but finding some sap to dethrone him and become the next thing.

Why is Elder Scrolls lore so fucking convoluted? There's stuff that's cool and then there's stuff that's like

>This god/deity is known as multiple things and can be regarded as good or evil depending on the culture/race

>Outer space backness is really just Oblivion

>Each planet is a plane of existence and each star is a hole in Oblivion to the Elder Scrolls version of heaven

>Aedra and Daedra aren't just simply angels and demons, they're people who exist on separate planes of existence!

>The player character using mods/cheat/console commands is just him realizing he's in a game world and achieving godhood

>Dwarves are just dicks who magic'd themselves out of existence because lol you're not allowed to achieve knowledge/equality with deities

>Both Oblivion and the Nordic afterlife exists, meaning every religion is either right or wrong

>Alduin and Talos is the same fucking person

I'm pretty sure the fucker who writes this shit doesn't even understand it.

>because lol you're not allowed to achieve knowledge/equality with deities

The dwemer died because the fucked their apotheosis up. Technology in TES is easily allowed to be achieved, but understand that science is magic in TES. The past eras had HUGE amounts of super high technology (guns, spaceships, etc) but it had a magical basis to it.
TES currently is living in the dark ages.
>>
>>342167119
... No. I mean kind of, but not exactly. Imagine that when you die, you only die for awhile - you come back after some time retaining past memories. Your soul can be captured and trapped for eternity.

So this is your existence, and the existence of daedra-kind. Then there is mortal-kind, whose souls cannot normally be trapped and the circumstances surrounding their deaths are totally different. They are alien, their cultures are alien, and they have a habit of yanking you out of your comfy life in Oblivion to do their bidding.
Like aliens who can teleport you to their planet, kill you with impunity, and turn your body into a wicked pair of boots that they enchant with your soul.
Morality doesn't really apply, because all things considered it's pretty immoral to summon, soul trap, kill, and enchant a daedroth.
If I were a dremora, hero or no hero I would kick the shit out of every mortal that summoned or tried to summon me.
>>
>>342177775
None of the gods are perfectly good, so they might be nice to their followers, but dicks to other groups, especially groups that follow gods they don't like.

Also there is nothing inconsistent about other planets being the other planes and the inhabitants of those planes not necessarily being good or evil, just aliens.

Everybody's afterlives exist because this isn't monotheism, nobody claims to have exclusive control over anything so there isn't any wrong or right about religion. Nord religion says nords go to not-valhalla, it doesn't give a shit what happens to elves.
>>
>>342177775
>This god/deity is known as multiple things and can be regarded as good or evil depending on the culture/race
>Outer space backness is really just Oblivion
>Each planet is a plane of existence and each star is a hole in Oblivion to the Elder Scrolls version of heaven
>Both Oblivion and the Nordic afterlife exists, meaning every religion is either right or wrong
These things are so convoluted because the lore of the Elder Scrolls is done realistically in that different cultures have interpretted supernatural phenomena different ways.

>Aedra and Daedra aren't just simply angels and demons, they're people who exist on separate planes of existence!
>Dwarves are just dicks who magic'd themselves out of existence because lol you're not allowed to achieve knowledge/equality with deities
>Alduin and Talos is the same fucking person
These ones are your own misinterpretation

>The player character using mods/cheat/console commands is just him realizing he's in a game world and achieving godhood
And this one is fanfiction that is believed solely by MK dicksuckers.
>>
>>342167119
Calling it military gear would be an understatement. I'd call it power armor because some of these guys are fucking powerful.
>>
>>342177561
The memory and ocean stuff is cool. The stuff about conjurers scanning planes of Oblivion with machines is pretty nifty. But yeah, most of it is dull shit like Divayth Fyr having feelings for a boring ass maiden or something and being mad he can't have boring maiden. Or stuff about Bosmers that is as boring as it is plentiful. I think the writers were trying to do for Bosmers what Morrowind did for Dunmer.
>>
>>342178415
Wait, where's Fyr in TESO?
>>
>>342177775
You tried to reduce it to something simple so you could compare it other simple things it isn't and then get upset when it isn't those things. You talk about Aedra and Daedra being angels and devils but that's not equivalent. They're not even attempting to be that. You're comparing spirits who turned themselves into sentient corpses after being tricked so that they could ground the world into some manner of rationality. There's nothing angelic about Akatosh, he's a mental patient who's schizo attacks wreck time and Aedra send robots from the future to kill elves.

You probably think Oblivion = devil because the game, Oblivion (which is infamous for watering down parts of lore so it represented more common themes and fantasy elements) focused on one daedra who was the most hellish of all. No other realm looks like Hell or is full of so many dremora. Mora's realm is not equivalent to devils and Satan. Azura's realm sounds nothing like a hellscape.

If you check out that book one follower wrote and listen to some stuff, she's the best prince to worship if you want to not get turned inside out through the ritualistically barb wired dick other princes ask. Most of her followers end up just hanging out at shrines and places being nice to each other and talk to her all the time. Shit is going down? She will tell you where to go and how to get out of trouble. Or she'll send help. The real problem is that she will occasionally use a follower for some shit bet.

People bring up that flower in the box story but when you get three flags telling you to not be mess with a prince and you do it anyway, you're a retard. Azura won't come and fuck with you unless you fuck with her. She gives clear signs about what will piss her off and it's stuff that usually requires you be a colossal asshole and murder people or talk shit.

Nope.
Sotha Sil was given a bunch of different locations that it was under for a various obvious reason.
Because it's under EVERYTHING. It's the underworks of Nirn.
As for the Imperfect, the leading theory that it was Sotha Sil's imperfection stripped out and put away. ESO states that he separates his negative qualities from himself.
>>
>>342179515
To be fair, I think it's just in their nature to be pissy about it. I don't think they are pissy because they have been inconvenienced, I think they are just pissy because they come from a plane where if you aren't pissed off all the time you will be beheaded.

If lesser daedra are anything like princes, they're essentially being bound to a physical form that's weaker and more restrictive than their natural form. >>
>>342180128
There's different summoning techniques but many are, hence why they vanish the moment you're done with them and there's no implications that they're being truly killed on Nirn. Some daedra are just stuck on Nirn and that sucks for them.
>>
>>342180229
Talos is a padomaic entity technically, and Lorkhan's status as an aedra or daedra is often the subject of much debate.
Actually, did Lorkhan give up some of his mortality like the other aedra to make Nirn? He had the idea and was clearly okay with it, even if he was murdered later it seems weird if he didn't do the same thing the other aedra did

Just how powerful WAS Dagoth Ur? Was he Daedra level because of his reverse dreaming bullshit? Learning of his potential it seems like he is incredibly OP and that the Nerevarine only won because Dagoth Ur was holding back out of arrogance/ loyalty, and even then the Nerevarine was insanely powerful as well and couldn't dent him physically despite dropping all of the Tribunal and Hircine.

Wheels of Lull is part of Trainbiz's self titled cellular-chronocodascopic lore. It was inspired by a drawing of a dunmer in modern clothes with a cellphone full of wizards in it drawn by MK a year before Sotha Sil Extended was promoted on 4chan. Treinwiz ultimately sought an explanation for this which centered attention from Imperialic Library causing MK to form a connection to a Sotha Silic corporation that lasted into TES's 19th era and formed the foundation for a lot of technologies that lived and died violently until finally settling into existence. So the cellular chronocodascope lore was implemented to some degree in all his mods including his Fallout 4 mods that make various references to his fanon lore.

Doesn't help Todd once made a joke about it shortly after Dawnguard's third E3 trailer.
>>
>>342180796
TES powerlevels are ineffable. Left to his own devices, Dagoth Ur would have ruined Lorkhan's plan and put an end to all of Mundus. But in terms of physical ability, as in how hard he can punch? He wasn't that impressive. It's the nature of Corpus and Akulakhan that would have infected and corroded reality, not Dagoth Ur physically throttling the heavens.

my take is that whatever you truly believe in is where you will go in the afterlife, like werewolves that stay true to the hunt will go to Hircine's realm, faithful nords go to Sovngarde, etc.

Archeron was a Thalmor in name only, he joined up because each one wanted access to the other's resources.
The way I characterize Sotha Sil is someone who loves the world. Not like men, who are okay with mortality or Dunmer, who see things rightfully as a test, but a guy who actually appreciates and is fascinated by its construction.
Archeron is actually a HUGE Sotha Sil fanboy (being a psijic himself), and has the same sort of worldly fascination, but is also kind of the twisted weird kid fascination. So when he studies things it's by burning them under a magnifying glass or pull the wings off a fly. He's kind of got a weird psycho rapist attitude towards him.
So basically, he steals a Sothatech eyepiece, researches deep into Sotha Sil's work, and escapes the psijics with the intent of trying to emulate Sotha Sil, but not having his restraint, empathy, or skill.

Whatever fuckery the Daedra did to fuck over Jyggalag should be reversible. Once you do, you can travel realm to realm with Jyggalag destroying daedras. At the last moment, when the last prince is dead, and the inevitable battle between the MC and Jyggalag happens, eventually beating Jyggalag as well. You are given the chance to mantle all the princes and rule as the Daedric King/Queen in some twisted realm that is essentially pieces of each smashed together. Plus Fallout 4 settlement building for the entire realm. With real post endgame quests where you need to collect the right ingredients, build the right shit, and portal through to Aetherius or some shit.

There Bethesda, I just made the best main story line since Morrowind, enjoy.
