I wouldn't describe this game as bad, but I certainly wouldn't describe it as good.
Blizzard have made a thoroughly mediocre first person shooter. They've taken many elements from arguably better games including Mobas and TF2, and combined them into an amalgam that nobody asked for.
The game itself offers very little in terms of strategy and depth. Many matches will feel like they are repeating themselves with certain players or characters dominating while others are left behind. Many aspects of the game require a very low level of skill and this reflects badly on the game as a whole. A players individual skill will often be masked by key game features which require relatively little skill. IE: A darting and jumper Genji is easily countered by 76s ult. Only rarely will you find yourself strategically challenge against another player who you feel is also being challenged likewise. IE Two Pharahs dueling in midair.
The amount of advertising and installed hype for this game is the only thing that has gathered the playerbase it has now. On its own this game would not have succeeded to the level it has.
I have played nearly 50 hours and this is my conclusion. I doubt any of you care and will continue to play. But as long as you realise the fundemental flaws of this game I am not concerned.
