>>342103532
I'm really not. If the intention was for the dinner to attract autistic fans its price would be lower. The high cost is a deliberate barrier to try and ensure those who can really help the project get access.

Ok.

I'm laughing at how stupid children see "10k dinner" as just a meal. And are so profusely stupid that even after it's explained to them what it's really for, they are too stupid to grasp such a simple concept as paid access.
>>
>>342103660
Possibly, but the telltale signs aren't nearly as apparent as with MN9. Anyone who was considering backing MN9 could have taken ten seconds to look through Inafune's job history and see that he's a producer first and illustrator second. At least Igarashi has experience as a programmer and writer besides just being a producer.
>>

Except it's not bad at all, it's probably better than any Mega Man up to date.

>>342103712
Not really. The influence of people that are utterly disconnected to the fans were responsible for removing any kind of Isometric cRPG for 10+ years and also caused the traditional jRPG to become pretty shit so they can cater to the west - or at least what they were thinking was the right to way to cater to them.

Those with the power are in too many cases utter retards with a paycheck that's way too great for their incompetence.

Really, kid. Tell me what's so hard about it.

1. You pay to get access to a project

2. Over dinner you discuss how to make the project grow and what extra money you can pay to this goal.

3. Reach deal or not.

4. Assuming deal reached, watch your money grow or dwindle. If no deal, you only lost 10k.

How is this too hard to wrap your head around?

and I have been squawking this since the project was announced.
Inafune had a questionable reputation with his colleagues
Inafune was the one to encourage to reboot DMC and named drop Ninja Theory because he like their games
Inafune would not play nice with his company like Ono was and wanted it his way or no way

And what a shock he made a shitty product because there was no overhead telling him what he likes=good

Inafune is the George Lucas of gaming, he can make amazing worlds rich with life but he needs staff that have the control to tell him no, change things, and over all fine tune his vision.

I got the $20, meh, I'm sure I'll get a couple of hours out of enterainment off this game, even if it's bad (sometimes I play bad games and enjoy). >>
>>342105693
>pay $10k
>sit with guy
>say I'll give you $500k if you do X
>guy agrees or not
>if agrees, get X
>you give $500k

That's investing. The act of buying the guys time via $10k is not investment, but it opens the door, if you will, to discuss the investment.

It's the same shit with buying access at E3. You pay to meet the dev's/CEO's/et al in order to get a foot in the industry, or in the case of somebody with lots of money, the chance at investing in a project you think will turn you dividends.

Appeal to definition. But, I advise you to look at this >>342106032

The $10k isn't the investment, $10k is to get into discussion, personally, about actual investment. If that actually happens, then the $10k becomes, by proxy, an investment. An investment for the investment.

The same shit happens with politicians. They offer $100k dinners, you pay $100k, you then have the ear of the politician who will give you tax breaks or more power if you give them $10m.

No businessman randomly gives companies or people $500k just because they have a product they're interested in.

>>342106128
There is no advantage outside of networking to paying $1000 to go to E3. None. You get that shit for free on streams. $1000 is for talking to the big cheeses, nothing more, nothing less. How do you manage to fuck up making Megaman with so much money?

This is like some sort of a fucking nightmare scenario. LikE everyone was fucking pissed off at Capcom's treatment of Megaman, and we're gonna get this big gigantic epic team together, and music, and we're gonna have people who backed the games get a little say and so forth

Megaman's really not that fucking hard to make, or innovate. Street Fighter vs Megaman wasn't that great, BUT it was enough of a twist to get everyone's attention. They could honestly put a little effort into the stage design and sell that thing on the street. So how in the fuck after all that, does Might Number 9 manage to stumble and fail? I mean, seriously, what were they doing? Shit, you've got no excuse with Gunvolt existing too

The worst part about this is that at the end of the day, Capcom can laugh as loud as they fucking want about it, and say "YUP! WE WERE RIGHT"

They could shit out a mobile Megaman game right now if they wanted, and everyone would fucking lap it up. Yeah, it's not a great Megaman game, but at least it's not Might Number 9

And Megaman Legend fans are retroactively getting the dick up their ass, because now Capcom's executives can look at this and say "yeah, Legends would have never sold, look how he handled this game!"

Honestly, I'd rather this have not existed. Nothing good as come from this, and some careers are DEFINITELY getting ruined.
>>
>>342104086

>>
>He backed mambo no. 5.6
>>
>>342106479

But that still isn't investing.
>>
>>342106216
I didn't say it was. I said it was to get face time to discuss the investment. If you pay $10k to meet a guy, agree to invest $500k in return for 20% of the profits, that $10k you paid to talk to him face to face IS an investment. If you pay $10k to talk to a guy, say you'll invest $500k for 20% return of the profits, and the guy goes "no, fuck off", then it isn't an investment.
>>
>>342106549
Investors don't pay to meet someone.

That's not how it works.
If Inafune needs money then HE comes to YOU and tells you what he's doing and why he wants money.

Even if it's you who wants to initiate it, you wouldn't fucking pay money to meet him. You'd say "I'm interested and can invest x, meet me and show me what you got"
