The story in that game was mediocre at best though. Honestly just finished the game recently and really have no idea what the fuss is about it. It was certainly well made and enjoyable over-all, nothing bad about it really, but I never felt like it was anything so special that it warrants all the accolades and praise I constantly see for it. Not even trying to shit on it, I just don't get it I guess.

Is it? It might be genuine, I actually believe it. No other RPG in the past ten years has been as good, to me. Keeping in mind that ten years ago was 2006, when Final Fantasy was shit and most other RPGs were dead.
Obvious false flagging would be saying it excels in every way, which it does not. Especially combat. But combat isn't the only gameplay the game has, and it's certainly not bad. Just not great.

Im impressed with the amount of content in the witcher.
I have put almost 200 hours into it and still have yet to complete B&W though i am close.
Stuff like MGSV i have like 240 hours into but a majority is just replaying to 100% it.

TW1 and TW2 are both better than TW3, TW1 being the best by a wide margin, even more so as an RPG as opposed to a game. They were both post-2006.
Pretty sure alpha protocol was also post-2006. While it was a shitty game, it was a fantastic RPG and better than TW3.

Touche I guess, but I can think of stories or characters that were a lot more engaging to me. mgs3, bloodlines, motb, some others. The characters in witcher were pretty flat, though I'd say the father daughter relationship was endearing, neither of the characters were that interesting by themselves. And the plot was i guess better than bioware or bethesda, but still pretty standard and not that engaging to me. I mean sure it's better than a lot of crap, so it's good, not denying that. I just wasn't blown away by it like most of the comments would imply you would be.

Not only that but there are NPCs standing ON the track. More than once I've rode through and two women were walking in circles around a corner part throwing me off the track.
Even when you're standing still in town, some folks will bump into you and scream "AUGH" like you shoved them.
