In that article they talk about Kratos trying to change after all the destruction he's caused and learning to control his anger. He seems to have an attachment to the kid in the trailer as well. He was about to lose his shit when the kid fired at the elk and missed but you can see he catches himself and calms down. That's my take, anyway. That, combined with the method of movement and the kind of space Kratos and the kid were occupying make the game seem like it's not going to follow the same extremely linear pathways we're used to in GoW. It may not be fully open world but I'd expect something like Darksiders or Dark Souls where you have an explorable world.

Not true at all, the God of War games before Ascension all got very good reviews from IGN. But the new people like Max and Alanah are SJW trash that have been killing the site for over a year.
