The ramshackle nature of the PC headsets might have soured people on VR, but there's a benefit to a closed system from a big company that can weed out all the shitty indie devs who are in a mad cashgrab with bullshit """"games""".
Even if they are just tech demos, there is way more to something like Battlefront and Batman than some ugly Unity asset flip on PC.
