The longer you engage in active combat the higher your chances of losing limbs. Most of the characters have been fighting for a decade or more so obviously they have some missing pieces.

Yeah I like the Nomad Genji one, but I played Virtual ON a bunch as a kid and Mechaqueen Pharah is pretty much a 1:1 adaptation of this design, so nostalgia won over.

Armor absorbs more damage than shields do, shields act like normal HP except they regenerate.

Whoever is boasting about mercy outclassing Lucio is dumb. Do you know what movement speed can do in this game? Do you know most pro teams have a double Lucio start? It is mostly for KOTH but having both a healing and speed aura is invaluable. Would you rather have one person have fast flying mobility or your entire team to have abeen advantage over the other team if they don't run double Lucio? Would you rather have a support that can harass widowmaker the hardest carry in the game atm or mercy? Not to mention AOE healing?
Mercy's ultimate definitely trumps Lucio's but they both relatively get similar result i.e. gain dominance over the opponent team to push/capture the objective.

They clearly don't know anything about the competitive meta, but keep in mind that on attack defense maps teams tend to use lucio/mercy, and that in quick play many teams won't have two supports.
Lucio is no doubt one of the best and most useful characters in the game, but by himself he struggles to keep tanks at full health and unlike Mercy he can't fly around to keep a separated team topped off.
In a Pub game if I'm only going to have one support I'd rather it be Mercy than Lucio unless we're on a KOTH map with easy push kills.

Try to "harass" a Wm with mercy secondary. Wm wil trace the bullets to you and snipe you with ease. Lucio has the advantage of getting ib and out of combat is great ease while mercy needs teammates. And yes double Lucio is KOTH only but having 2 I'm other modes isn't that terrible. 2 mercy's while never being a viable strat just isn't useful because the offensive capabilities are lacking when compared to Lucio.
I do agree that mercy is a better single support but this being a team game, and healing multiple people, even with a 12 second cd is way better than single heal.

Because a widow will always kill the mercy's without trouble. 2 mercy is not bad, two resurrect is great and will change the tide of the battle but 2 mercys will easily get countered by a single hero e.g. widow

How do I git gud at aiming? I love this game so far but I've pretty much avoided shooters barring doom a few times when I was really little. I want to win more but picking the right character only helps so much if I can't contribute.

Current meta has Mercy in the 100% pick tier. McCree and Reinhardt are up there next to her at around 80%
Lucio was seeing such high use mainly due to the rules on map selection leading to almost nothing but KOTH maps.
Mercy has become MUCH more popular in competitive as things have swung more to attack/defense maps.
They also recently implemented a 1-hero restriction on competitive play, which further bumped Mercy on the list. She's currently the most used hero in competitive in front of McCree and Reinhardt.

If on PC turn your sensitivity way down and make sure you have a large surface so you can still instantly turn 180 if you need to. Try to move with your whole arm instead of your wrist.

OK I didn't know one hero per team was going to be implemented for all tournaments honestly I think that goes against the creators vision because they clearly intend on having multiple. Blizzard themselves didn't seem to mind until tournaments were littered with double Lucio double Winston or triple McCree.
I can't argue with 1 hero limit and mercy being viable but we'll wait for blizzard sponsored or other official tournament once OW gets out of preseason. (Not arguing that other tournaments aren't legit but I'm waiting for the big TI like event with its rules since ow seems to have changing rules atm)
Pub wise a Lucio is mostly better solo (since pubes can't into teamcomp) than mercy but it depends on the individual and teams.

No, high sensitivity makes precision aiming nearly impossible. High sensitivity is good for console games where your main concern is being able to turn quickly and you can rely on auto-aim for fine corrections.
On a PC you have no auto-aim to do the small movements for you but even at low sensitivity you can quickly swing your arm to turn instantly.
Low sensitivity also makes using your arm rather than your wrist easier, and you simply have finer motor control of your arm than you do of your wrist.
