He was tired of being under used by the NCR, he was tired of his men getting killed for no reason. He started to sabotage his men in the hope that they would see the futility in their current strategy, forcing them to reevaluate and change it.
He underestimated just how bloated and ineffective the NCR was, and he ended up doing more harm than he intended to. Basically he gambled with the lives of his men and the lives of the people he swore to protect.
If you didn't kill him right there and then, you had no sense of honor or justice.

Half of the perks benefit it, and if you dont take unarmed LITERALLY, and LITERALLY dont use any weapons instead of even Brass Knuckles, then you can 2 or 3 shot a lot of enemies while ignoring their armor.
Unarmed was probably the most faceroll playthrough I ever had in NV, arguably better than Melee in every way.

His point was to make the Nevada Wasteland seem impossible to hold, and to make it appear that there was NO reason to ever hold it. He tried to scare the NCR out of the wastes so people would stop dying.
It backfired in one of the camps however, involving a lot of landmines and bear traps, and a lot of people died, and the NCR hold was forever weakened because of his actions, especially if you don't go NCR ending.

I dont care HOW good the story was in Dead Money, even if I will admit that it's very VERY good, it's fucking awful. The entire concept of the collars is shit, the weird pacing is terrible, and even though there's emphases on exploration, it rarely pays off.

Spoilers ahead.A town fulla people gets executed by some gunmen, but if you kill ANYONE in the town for any reason beforehand the gunmen try to aim at the corpse even if it's in a building, and sometimes the townsfolk spawn down the street and the gunmen kill each other trying to hit it. They're all terrible shots so even if nothing goes wrong (it will) they take forever to kill everyone, and to top it off the bad guy's dialogue takes a while to trigger sometimes.

The quest to identify Kellog is my personal favorite part of the game.
You go up to a Synth in Hate Synth City, describe the murderer and in the process effectively describe over half of the Raider population, and just like that Valentine identifies this man perfectly and he just so happens to have a home in Diamond City.

Part of my Courier's backstory is that he has no clue who his father is because his mother was a prostitute, and normally I would have stopped there but also decided that his real father was an NCR trooper who went on to die at the first battle of Hoover Dam, and he's one of the names on the memorial in Boulder City.
And in 4 I made it part of Nate's backstory that he was friends with Elliott from Mothership Zeta in the army and has an older brother who unbeknownst to him is still alive as a ghoul in Chicago.

Let's Ride Into The Sunset Together is the best fucking song there is. It's actually really special to me, it reminds me of the week I spent playing New Vegas, not setting a single foot outside, having my sleep cycle shot to hell and living on iced tea and hardboiled eggs. It was a disgusting time, but I don't regret it for a second. It's pretty much where it became my all-time favorite game.

I don't really get why the Settlers are perpetual whiny cocks in 4. I get that the Commonwealth is a harder place to live in than the pre-war society, but most, if not all, of these Settlers don't know what it is like to live in a pre-war society. The Commonwealth is their normal. I'm playing Honest Hearts and I think there's a spawning bug? I was just walking along and suddenly a Yao Guai faded into existence right in front of me, which okay whatever. But I soon realized there were like five Yao Guai suddenly surrounding me. Same thing has been happening with cazadors and for some reason Green Geckos keep spawning like eight feet in the air.

Veronica was a pretty good character who championed optimism and change and when she realized she just didn't have the influence to turn her family around, she left to go someplace where she actually could make a difference. The biggest problem was her fucking terrible line delivery but whatever I can live with it.
