For me DmC was worse because it shat all over everything I loved and was praised for being garbage. It was like being slapped in the face with a poisonous barbed dick and being told I was asshole for not enjoying it.
The gameplay might have been better than DMC2, but at least 2 still kind of felt like a DMC game rather than whatever the fuck DmC was.
