Berserk should be more like God of War but without the simple puzzles. Not "cuh-razy" but a bit of a button masher that lets you fight with tools you collected. Souls combat is too slow and dmc or even bayo is too fast for the feeling of berserk.

Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Hyrule Warriors, etc.
These are all part of the Musou series, or metaseries, or whatever you want to call it.
Brawlers with an exp and level up system, usually weapon based, usually with a massive roster of colorful characters, with entire armies of enemies. The problem is there are way too many musou games and after awhile it all starts to feel the same, which isn't helped by the fact that the gameplay can get quite repeditive to begin with.
So basically, not a game for everyone.
I enjoy them in small doses.

Musou is a good fit for Dark Souls. Its a little too big, Guts isn't the type to chop down entire armies (except that one time)
But maybe on a smaller scale it'll work.
