Ok, seriously instead of making my own thread I'll keep it condensed here.
I just think I'm not understanding something about Smash 4. I feel like, everything in the game from the combos past what the developers let you combo, to the ultra high priority recoveries is intentionally put just outside the players reach. It's like every god damn thing has to be a fucking okie read situation after you try to corner someone. But because of the plethora of overly safe options to escape, no aggressive options work because you're just outside that zone of punishment.
If you go too close someone shields, you're getting grabbed for a free punish. If you bait them out of shield most of the time its not worth risking going in because A: Sheilds have no stun even after the fucking update B: everything is fucking overly animated to the point where its like 218932123092821 frames of animation and C: The landing lag of a lotta moves is fucking ATTROCIOUS to the point where if you dont have a autocancelled air or no landing lag you're getting punished.
Not to mention the movement in the game is fucking absolute ass where you're left with either shield stopping, jumping, or pivoting which is fucking GAY. I'm not even gonna go into the fact that DLC chars are essentially pay2haveoptions, they're not pay2win tier like bayo was before nerf because they're very beatable, but seriously its stupid.
tl;dr
Is the whole idea of being good at this game centralized around playing like a faggoty campy wiener and the other person making huge mistakes? Because I'm not even gonna bother putting more time into it if thats the case. This whole game plays like the Marth vs Peach matchup in melee, where the recoveries are too safe, you cant kill unless you hard read or have a GIB okie setup like sheiks uair kill.

I dont know man, I want to like Smash 4. I actually truly do, but it's like its being intentionally held back by something. The cool combos and follow up potential is there, but its being intentionally limited I feel because of the constricted movement, no stun, and ultra safe gameplay. I guess it's not for me, I'm actually glad I never caved in and bought the DLC and won my copy of sm4sh.
Maybe I'll wait for Project sm4sh or w/e the community will do. I hated PM because it felt...fake but maybe this will be better. More power to the people that can stomach sm4sh as it is but I cant do it.

I was going to argue that opinion of yours, but instead I'll just say, I haven't been ANY less aggressive in Sm4sh than I have been for any other Smash. I might even be more aggressive than ever. You make one spacing error and you get punished for it even little ones that didn't matter in Melee or even Brawl.
