Ah understandable, but I really enjoyed the game and wouldn't mind replaying it again. Although like I've said before, the hypernova section does detract the enjoyment of playing it again. It was fun seeing how hypernova would interact with the environment the first time, but then after playing it again it can get tedious. And the common enemies should be more threatening so there could be a reason for using all the moveset for an ability. Trying a new approach would be really neat. Although I disagree with you on the bosses excpet Pyribbit, the arena, the minigames, and Dededetour. I still enjoy playing through them every so often.

There's probably 3 or 4 levels you'll restart 5 or more times.

I don't doubt it one bit, but it's a fact that there's been NO official statement on Zero Squared EVER. So it's just assumptions. A pretty safe assumption, but Zero Squared is mentioned in official Kirby material exactly zero times.

Without 3D: Neither TD nor PR have any framerate drops
With 3D: TD has framerate drops during every hypernova section and most bosses. PR has framerate drops during a few Robobot sections (usually just wheel, jet, and esp) and bosses on a circular plane.
2/3'rds of PR's final boss is literally just a mash-up of Meteo Crusher and Gorgon from SF64. It hardly plays differently at all - the whole thing is more than doable with no 3D.
