Hitscan is very strong in this game, and she's got pretty low HP and she's slow.
I want to like her, but unless i've got a mercy up my ass it's hard to stay offensive, you have to play her very cautiously and attack from angles they don't expect until they start looking up.
She'd be better off if some of her health was converted into shields

God fucking DAMN is this bitch getting old to play against. They dropped her bodyshot damage to 100, but that's all they fucking did. Didn't increase her charge time, didn't drop her health, didn't increase her recoil or her cooldown between shots...It still takes only two bodyshots to kill 70% of heroes

One tip I always give my friends, is ALWAYS, ALWAYS try to stay in the air, moving nonstop. Never walk on the ground for more than a few seconds. Going on roofs are fine, just make sure to always stay above ground.
Try to use her concussive to push an enemy to a wall, then shoot that wall, since you'll have a higher chance to kill. It is also a good way to separate yourself from enemies.
Like Blizzard reccomends, try to hit where you think, or, if you get directly above the enemy, just aim it right at them, you'll most likely hit them.
But seriously though, best tip there is, is to NEVER stop moving as Pharah.
Oh and another thing, using her ult on one person is completely fine. Just make sure not to use it on a torbjorn turret, it will kill you faster.

The biggest catch with Pharah is that the rest of your team needs to be distracting. She does her best work looping around back during a push, or even just before a push. Pharah is fucking great, my favourite character to play as, so much fun. but seeing other people play her makes me mad as fuck.
only thing that is kinda garbage about her is her ult, i am now high enough on levels that i can barely get a good ult off, it needs to be cancable.
basically you have to kill roadhog, widows, hanzos, mccrees and soldier 76s before even thinking of using your ultimate.
basically you ult enemy lucio mercy and reinhardt and have to keep being in the air for another 2 seconds just to wait and look at the widow/hanzo far away taking their sweet ass time to aim at your head.
anyways, most fun character in the game.

I completely misunderstood this ult and got myself killed repeatedly, this shit is for close range back assaults against a small number of choice targets. The jump ult tactic you'd expect to be most effective is just way too dangerous for you and makes the ult largely ineffective unless part of a huge team push or the enemy is otherwise totally distracted
I feel like I could not use E or Ult and still have a pretty nice time with her
I like how her playstyle is inspired by Quake.

The biggest problem is people use her boost and think "oh this is great for the ult!" and boost then ult, prompting enemy snipers, or even anyone who has even medium range to just point and click you and you're dead.
Get behind them on ground level or on a ledge where they can just about see you.

There is no source until the patch is released, this is going off the Blizz forums and the vague replies given by the employees. Basically they've said a number of characters will be rebalanced for ranked play, Mei will be toned down offensively, D.va buffed in some way (althought she seems fine to me besides taking headshots in a mech suit) and McCree will be rebalanced to be less perfect

Play against a team with Junkrat/Reaper/Reinhardt/Mercy/Lucio and no 76/Widowmaker and you'll do great as her.
Like every single hero in the fucking game she's good against some team compositions, neutral against others, and gets countered damn hard by some others.
Knockback rocket off the map is always a comedy kill on maps where it's possible too.

Feels like a less effective junkrat. Less dps overall, slower reload and shooting. Very awkward to play without being babysat by a zarya/mercy. Too many strong characters exist right now with near hitscan weapons. Her air movement feels too slow and she feels too fragile. Wish she had more aerial speed, some shields, and maybe either faster missile speed or reload speed.

I love Mei but at the moment she feels far too robust. She decimates the 200hp classes witht the freeze headshot combot while having 250HP of her own despite also having two lethal damage escapes one of which is a perfect shield that she can break out of by choice + heal + a wall in a game with a lot of chokepoints. Mei is absolutely godly. I hope they dont but I wont be surprised if she ends up with 200HP and no 'solid freeze' debuff with her left click, only a slow and turn rate reduction (which is still totally fine for landing a headshot with)

I enjoy playing junkrat more and I'm much better with him, don't get me wrong. But in a competitive environment pharah completely replaces him as making an bear traps are normally killed off instantly and the displacement rocket can cause absolute chaos if placed correctly. I'd rather have a knockback either way which junkrat does have but his is fairly short range. They play the same purpose but junkrat is easier and better in low level randoms where pharah is harder and more useful in higher level games

I disagree junkpills fire faster, reload faster, and people can still take full damage from a grounded pill if they hit it. Her rockets are way too slow. Direct hits are complete luck at any distance where a shotgun can't kill based on how mobile all the characters are and the fact that they'll only do 40 damage with splash.

That'd make her straight up busted because she'd be near unkillable by people like Tracer no matter how poorly you play. It's ok to have soft counters, but no matter how much you hate Tracer she still deserves to kill you if you're bad enough to land close to her with all your air mobility. Shields would be a much better decision for Pharah because she would be able to poke down Torbjorn turrets without being damaged to near zero and being forced to land, but she'd still be very vulnerable to anyone who can focus on her and catch her out.

She is just about my favorite class and also the class I feel least threatened by when I see her on the enemy team.
Since I stopped playing her as much I honestly don't even see her that often and she never gets potg.
Shes a little too soft
No splash damage so you gotta have god aim while in motion and under duress (unlike a sniper who can just stand still in the back)
She is super vulnerable while ulting and for a time after she ults. I've died so many times post ult just getting casually shot out of the sky.
Even if she's ok where she is at, why play her when other characters are just better? Good situationally but for the most part I'd rather just win the round or not make my teammates suffer.
