Been playing this all night every night after work since Tuesday. Got grandmaster Ursine and Manticore armors, with the gold tournament steel sword and Aerondight + Ofieri runes.

Hearts of Stone starts at around level 35 and Blood and Wine starts somewhere around level 40-45. You'll probably have to finish the main story before starting the expansions though there are a few unique pieces of dialogue in them if you haven't completed the main quest. You won't have access to the stuff they add before starting them.

dettlaff transformations were really fucking good. fight was nice as well, but it just lacks a certain something to make it truly amazing. i guess this is where the witcher fails a bit. i get really hype,big expectations etc,but i feel let down,once i fall into the boss's patterns and kill it. wished something more akin to MGR boss fights, but i guess, these are the limitations of being a classic western RPG.

No, you're definitely right. When I'm fighting large monsters or bosses in TW3 I don't really feel the impact. Would have been a lot better if you could do things like climb on a monster or cut off limbs to weaken them. As for the bosses, they're quite easy to break once you figure out a pattern and they don't have that much HP.

I would say yes. The graphics are intense, the plot is pretty good, and the battles are fairly fun to be a part of once you get the hang of it. It's pretty fun to customize Geralt in terms of gear and build.
The only problem is that it gets monotonous after awhile.
