Mario is actually really good at low % combos and Ryu might be the character with highest skill ceiling with some advanced inputs, Megaman plays like he would in his games, DK is relatively unchanged, and villager is fucking obnoxious. That's just what I think though.

DK is much more viable than he was in previous games and has a much, much better dash attack.
Also, I'm not sure if this applied in previous games, but winding his giant punch up 9 times is more powerful than doing it 10 times (it can kill as early as 40%).
I'd put DK at high tier if he's optimally played.
Also, you should know that DI in this game is different from Melee. Vertical DI is the same, but for horizontal DI (vectoring), you want to pull in the opposite direction from which you were hit (usually back toward stage).
Attempting to use Melee DI could result in bad DI.
Also, Rage is a mechanic which kicks in at 50% and caps at 190% (I think). As your percentage increases, your knockback on all of your moves increases as well.

Ryu is kind of difficult to play, but might just be one of the best characters in the game thanks to inputs and tech.
DK hits hard, but you really need to know how play both defensively and offensively very well to beat better players.
Megaman shoots things and is relatively fun to play (he isn't fun to play against in my opinion).
Villager is obnoxious as all Hell.

Wii Resort is more lethal than most gimmick stages. There are a couple instant kill spots iwtrh no warning.

My tourneyfag friends and I gave it a try and it we actually liked it a lot. We also tested it as a side event on our college club locals and was well received too.
I took the liberty to make this image summarizing the whole thing, but also added some of the most important things about the ISP so people don't have to fetch the link to the Smashboards threads every time.
Anyway, thoughts on it? I'll post it tomorrow for more people to see but Real Nigga Hours actually are better to discuss these type of things. I mean, the Teams idea came trough in these hours, so it's not that far-fetched.

What's the problem with it? I don't think his list will make it because it's like in between of what a tourneyfag doesn't want and what a real casual would, but to be honest I don't see anything wrong with it, and the reasons for some of the banned items are legit if you're doing this for an actual tournament.
