Literally the only problem with SMGs is the fact they shred buildings, which green autists didn't like. they are the definitive counter to tunnel play, because if someone is tunneling and has an SMG, the second they're out of the tunnel, they're fucked, yet if someone goes tunnel hunting with an SMG, they're likely to kill him. You guys are literally just butthurt someone is countering you. This is some 12 year old cod autism. Name one argument why SMGs shouldn't be allowed, besides baseraping, or calling them "OP"

The SMG is the mark of Reddit. We don't kick people for using it because it's OP (because it does shit damage) or because it tears down structures easily (because its ammo pool is too limited to do any significant destruction without a tent).
Do you wonder why we play version 0.54? It was the earliest version of AoS that didn't rely on the master server. This was also the point where Ben stopped going to /v/ for ideas and started going to reddit (a bit like a certain Swedish fat fuck billionaire who made another voxel game). The SMG was the first suggestion made by redditors that Ben added, and subsequent versions of the game added more shit that eventually became the Jagex version.
TL;DR if you use the SMG, you're a redditor, whether you use the site or not.

Objective Facts:
- Votekicking spam is absolutely retarded and has to stop. It was funny the first few times but no it's getting ridiculous and driving people away.
- The SMG is not as bad as people make it seem. It has shit aim, and if it's good at destroying stuff then just build better defenses.
If you find a way to make the SMG not exist in the game, fine, but until then, stop sperging about people using something available to them in the game.
- Some nice balance between Blue's "only tunnel and zerg rush" and Green's "only build autismo forts" would be ideal. Either of the two extremes defeats the purpose of the game and makes it not fun. Otherwise we should split up and have Blues play COD while Greens play Minecraft.

there's already openspades, an open source version of AoS that works with 0.75 and 0.76 servers, no need to do it from scratch, just edit/build upon this:

there's also psyspades, which is simply custom servers for AoS, allows you to make custom scripts, that's how people make servers with airstrikes and zombies and shit on the BnS website
The biggest problem with the game is building actually doesn't do much beyond palisades, small bunkers, or intel spaghetti. And then defense is just waiting until the enemy team lurks through tunnels and arrives, or flanks you, so a lot of it is just panning around scanning for targets, and if you die, you're pretty close to your intel still. And the inverse, you're either going to end up in a big shootout in the middle of the map, or digging tunnels for 10 minutes until someone soundwhores you and finds you, or you get to the intel. Removing tunneling removes a key gameplay factor, which is flanking and undermining enemy defenses, but it shouldn't be the meta.
