I enjoyed both halves of the game too fully, even enjoying some dlc night stages more than the dlc day stages but thats crazy. Unleashed is the fastest and best looking game in the series and the music is simply perfect for every area its in. At low speeds they were loose but in 2D or high speed, sonic handled great. Hes way to stiff feeling in generations and colors has some of the worst controls of any sonic ive played.

Long story short: An ex-writer for the comic learned that Chronicles was VERY LOOSELY based on some of his stories in the Knuckles comic and had a shitfit demanding compensation and recognition, and went after Sega and Archie. No unfortunately, and that probably won't ever happen either. The Android version is a remake - they even redid the physics engine for it. The Steam version is just a port of the original.
It's possible, but it's a hell of a lot of work for it, because they can't just take the android version's assets and transfer them - they have to remake everything, including the new zone.

Colors (Wii) and Colors DS are two very different games.
Colors (Wii) is basically the precursor to Generations. It was ultimately good, but still had it's share of issues. Generally liked but not regarded as a high point.
Colors DS is Sonic Rush with bigger levels that would lend themselves better to exploration, except that the game runs faster than it ever did before. It's playable, but it's not as good as Rush Adventure and arguably not as good as Rush.
admit it, Vanilla cosplaying as Cattleya (from Queen's Blade) was the best idea.

The funny thing is that I have this exact same complaint about every 3D Sonic game BEFORE Unleashed. At least in Unleashed you can homing attack stage objects and snap to rails, in Adventure/Heroes you were always shooting off randomly and hitting the wrong things when you went for A ranks, if you didn't go off ramps just the way the game expected you would miss an entire scripted sequence and die.

I abandoned this franchise a few months ago.
I lasted through Shadow and '06 becuase I had faith that SEGA would eventually learn how to not make the same shitty mistakes and while the franchise has been getting better it just now bombed again with Boom and Lost World because SEGA did almost the exact same thing that they did before...almost a decade ago.
Simple fact-of-the-matter is that Sonic as a franchise is fucked because of it's publisher. We are going to get some decent heights every now and again but it will never be worth the fucking drop.
The only thing that kept me attach near the end of last year was the comic and even the comic was starting to get to a slog because the creator was prioritizing worldbuilding over anything else and then it went into a fucking haitus. I did read the last two issues however and while it's a step in the right direction I've lost care in it.
Altogether. Fuck Sonic and Fuck SEGA. I've suffered enough. The only thing I like anymore is the porn.

I like Sonic because its a franchise that continues to experiment. Yes I miss the style of Colors and Generations and thought Lost World was a letdown, but hey those games would have never even come about if Sega hadn't decided to abandon the Adventure Formula which was a pretty unpopular move itself. They might fail but I'm looking forward to the next thing they think up, it might end up even better than Unleashed style.
