Ghost n goblins
First game i remember playing is Golden axe on the megadrive.
>>339190430
Don't remember the fist one I played, but the first one I owned was Test Drive 4.
Also Sonic on megadrive.
>The elf's head gets stuck

This game was brutal.

Sat on my brothers lap and he taught me the ways of spaceship war/economy
>>339190430
Some kind of Pac-Man clone on my dad's laptop

>>339190430

Killer Instinct on SNES
Super Mario 3 on NES is the first I remember.
But I've been told I played other games before that.

Pokemon Blue GBC
>>339191394
Fuck you, I was in the middle of typing that.
Still one of my favorite games to go back and play every once and a while. For a NES game it holds up really well.
Sonic 2
>>339191318still rad
>>339190430
>>339191171
This one.
I also have a faint memory of two other DOS games that came in floppy disks, one let you ride a train around, the other one involved a magic castle, but that's literally all I remember from them.
They were probably just forgettable generic edutainment crap anyway.
Either some MS-DOS game ( Prince of Persia, supaplex etc) or Tetris with some shitty portable gameboy
They had it set up in a toy store. I thought in order to jump you had to pull the 3D stick up and I ended up pulling the stick out of the controller. Got out of there before anyone noticed.
>>339191295
Released in 2003, 13 years ago.
If OP played it when he was 5, then he's good.
Time flies.
>>339191398

Lot of pedobait on this thread.
I thought it fucking sucked and didn't touch video games again for a year.
Mine was animal crossing, in 2001
I remember we got this in a pack with like 10 other games for my dads mac, me and my sister rarely made it past the water level.
>>339191703
It's not as bad as I would've imagined actually. I was expecting more six gen games.
>>339190430
My dad said I managed to finish the game near 100% and I was like, fucking 4. I forgot all about it tho and I've been meaning to replay this game for a while
>>339191221
I had my first boner playing this.My memory of that particular event is so vivid it's almost scary.
>>339190430
i still want remake/remastered steam port in hd and shit
Doom freemium or lightcycles
I don't know
It was some dos side scrollin kind of game, with an overworld map that had an ocean to the left
If I saw it again I'd probably recognise it
The first memory is thinking this game was garbage.
This or Rush n' Attack. The arcade. At the grocery store.Pretending to play during the attract demo.

>>339190430
On a laptop my dad got for work, which was massive news for the family at the time.
Especially since his job didn't require a goddamn laptop so no one had any idea why he'd been given one.My friends were amazed by my tactic of using bananas to make a tunnel through the buildings and hit them directly while they all fumbled around trying to play it properly
pretty sure it was doom2
>>339190430
That game came out in 2003 so you must be like 16 fucking years old? Get the fuck off this board you underage cunt
This is probably mine

Tie between this for SNES or some real crappy motorcross game for my first PC
The first console i got was a pirate NES it had a lot of games and the first game i played on it was Super Mario Bros. it also has a bootleg Mario Bros. with the teletubbies insead of mario and luigi

I was spending a summer at my grandmother's place, and some of my older cousins had gotten a NES(real rarity over here at the time) and brought it with them.

>>339190537

First game was probably either MK3, Prince of Persia or some 2D sidescroller Batman game.
>>339190430
It's hazy because I remember being exposed to a lot of vidya even at a very young age, but my cousin got this for me on my third(yes) birthday, kinda one of those "you'll grow into it" gifts

>>339191472
FUCKING HELL I REMEMBER THIS GAME
I'm a Britfag but we had it on an American cartridge, which meant we had to use this crazy adapter where you had to put a British / European cartridge in as well for it work (like pic related, but with the front cartridge an American one)
I remember finding that game super hard when I was young, and slightly scary too. My favourite SNES games at the time were Earthworm Jim, Super Mario World (I didn't have that so borrowed it from a friend), Cool Spot (it was like some promotional game made by Virgin), and sometimes Metroid but again I found that scary when I was 6 years old or whatever.
>>339193067
A mod? I remember we use to just load up coop from the setup file back then.

You mean Super Mario Land probably.
Duke Nukem time to Kill, I was only 4, not sure why I was allowed to play it. But no regrets
>>339190430
Donkey Kong. I remember sitting on my aunts lap in a bar playing they game. She had her hands in my lap. Coincidentaly it was also the first boner I remember having.
I remember getting my ass fucked by this every single time
The very first colin mcrae rally 1998 I think on pc.
Thats what got me into pc or gaming general
not even kidding. It was at a neighbors house and I was young enough that I still had fun
I think it was some preinstalled Windows (or not even Windows) game, some puzzle about 4 different colors on a grid. I only remember the player charcters being big colored sphere monarchs.
Ether that or the first or the second GTA. Don't remember which one.
But what was your first favorite game?
I owned maybe 6 games before this but this one blew them the fuck out.
I think i was like 4-5
or wolfenstein 3d
I barely remember having this box that plgus into your TV which had a bunch of atari games loaded onto it. this was when I was about 4. I remember one of the games was hockey. Anyone know what it might've been?
Doom of course.
I still play it today.
>>339190430
I remember playing that. It was okay fun, but thank god my first wasn't a 3D IP tie-in like that.

>Super Mario Land
Oh yeah you're right. Also I had Super Mario Land 2 as well, this one - >>339192398 - which I played a lot more (because it was a much more in depth game). Good times.
Sonic 2. My older brother played it a lot, so I watched him. I think when I was around 3 he began showing me how to actually play it, along with the other genesis games we had.
This has always made me wonder, though. Some people are naturally good at videogames while others, no matter how hard they try, wind up being mediocre at best. Does starting out earlier give you an advantage of sorts, allowing your mind to adapt to the challenges more easily during such a critical time of growth? Maybe I'm just overthinking this.
>>339191450
Dragonar-1?

I've had a fucked up childhood, we had money but there was a lot of violence and pain, also no friends until I was 13.
There's less than 10 memories I have from my first 10 years (I've counted) which is not normal.
I knew how to multiply when I was 4, but couldn't learn to read until 10 when I went to a specialist, who after a while started to physically abuse me cause I was stupid.
I went to another one when I was 12. She's a fucking angel and I pretty much became a normal functioning human because of her. (friends, gf, college degree, very good job)
She's something you don't even see in movies. 1 sentence and she knows every last detail of your life, like she could write your biography level.
Oh wait the neighbour had a nintendo and I played mario first.
Best game.
I remember perfectly the first time I saw and played a videogame.

25 year old here, I also played Jazz Jackrabbit but only when I was a bit older and a friend at school had shown it to me. I think I was like 10 / 11 when I played it. Good game though.
When I was 5, I played Hover on Windows 95, also Chip's Challenge. I dunno maybe I was 6 or 7, I have no fucking idea to be honest.
I didn't know how to read and write at the time, so my brother thought me what keys to hit to get around. at some point i forgot what to do to pay the taxi so i kept getting beat up when i tried to leave.

The only game to achieve that for me was when I saw a full 3D game for the first time in the form of Super Mario 64. I was completely blown away at the wizardry going on.
I remember when I was like 6 I had an over 200 games CD that had Doom and Duke Nukem and Marble Madness and Scorched Earth and stuff on it
It also had this really bizarre flight simulator called Corncob 3D that made the computer restart in order to play the game
first Tomb Raider.
