All of her character is layered in her design. She's quasi-Aria trapped in a shell, hence the whole halo and bondage design. White and black being her primary colours gives you the idea of duality and the red underlay points to her origin and inner characteristics. There're a bunch of small details on her showing that something is off like the uneven cuts in her outfit which come to detail as you read her dialogue where her personality quirk is always delivered in transitions that don't make themselves obvious.

I mean, when I tried letting my friends play both, they had an easier time easing in GG, mainly because even short combos do significant damage and mechanics are a bit less cluttered so they appreciate it. When we tried BB, theyrebok with it as well, but they had difficulties with learning character gimmicks, and optimum combos are or more or less required to do substantial damage on top of baiting for counterhits.

Those are the basic stuff you can do, more often than not the best way to play Axl is to have a good grasp at spacing and harassing your opponents in neutral.

A lot of people in the discord are dustloop users, the problem with dustloop is that it's slow due to being a forum, you can post something in one of the unpopular sections and not get an answer for days, while the popular sections are about non-gameplay stuff. And how much info you get depends on how much people want to post there. Guilty Gear implies a linear meta-timeline where events happen in order, and then resets don't create an alternate universe but change the past. Picture that you have a slide show formatted as 1-2 and 1-3 and so-forth. The first number indicating original timeline and the second number indicating point in universal chronology. Yep, you usually just use the first super as a reversal, the second ones's for styling or fancy stuff. As Axl you usually use meters for combo extensions or feigning with YRC. Usually its 6H YRC to grab from mid range, Sickle Flash YRC to make it safe (projectile still continues) or that crossup move into YRC for more mixups.
Make it a habit to buffer charge as well
