It's god tier if it's universal and top tier if it's only semi-universal. So if it's done right and it gets everyone then it's god tier, but if it's off by a little bit then it will only get some people then it's just top.

For example, having holes in most living things will mess with some people hard core, but some people will only be a little creeped out by it and move on anyway. Then when you suddenly make shit come out of those holes and skitter into the darkness to hunt you down and pretty much everyone will be freaking out internally.

>>338519434
In Arkham Origins, if you're trying to collect every intel and so on to complete every questline, you're going to have to go back to the Royal Hotel, all the way to the top. There are no shortcuts and you have to climb for like 10 minutes, and once you reach a certain point the music changes permanently into this sound with strings and horns that you hear in tense horror moments, and it's louder than anything else. Once you have collected all the intel you have to climb your way down again, which also takes like 10 minutes and you're stuck with that sound the entire time, with corpses propped into 'comedic' poses all over the place. Every second going down with that sound felt like I was being chased by something

On a related note, there one moment in The Stanley Parable where the narrator says that Stanley feels like he's being followed and cannot help but stare over his shoulder. I had this vague sense of paranoia since that moment while playing.

Basically, he slipped inside head first, but could not be pulled out due to the angle of his legs. Think about how his knees bend and it'll make much more sense, as you know knees only bend one way (they were considering breaking his legs but the shock would have likely killed him, he had been upside down for hours before EMS got to him.)

It just makes me so salty, this Chad had an amazing cave to explore at home yet would rather explore some dangerous new cave. Fucking Chads, his death describes Chads perfectly.
>>
>>338524119
Rescuers deemed it too dangerous. I guess they didn't want to haul a broken and bent out of shape corpse through a dozen different, equally narrow shafts or something.

Cave is now closed for the public, and it serves as John's eternal tomb.

Alright, so here's how to goes:

The first four volumes are alternate retellings of the same story that all end with everyone either getting murdered or killing themselves in horrific ways. It's really cool, really creepy, and pretty sexy in places.

Then there's like a stupidly huge arc that has no murders and is entirely about trying to fight for a Child Protection Program in Japan.

Then it's finnally revealed that It's all the government gassing people. There is a ghost, but it's just a loli time traveler. The main cast fights them off with fireworks and harsh language, thereby ending the series on the stupidest possible note imaginable.

>It was around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when rescuers got him loose. They were able to give him an IV, food and water. He also received a needed morale boost after he was able to talk to his wife over a police radio.
>Once Jones was free of the 18-by-10-inch crevice, rescuers said an "equipment failure" caused the rope system that was hoisting the man out of the cave to drop him back into the same, narrow gap.

Might as well try at this point.

>On November 24, 2009, John Jones died after becoming trapped in the cave for 28 hours.[4] Rescuers concluded that it would be too dangerous to attempt to retrieve his body; the landowner and Jones' family came to an agreement that the cave should be permanently closed with the body sealed inside.[4]

I was just reading about nuclear exposure death. Thanks for the additional nightmares, anon.
>>
>>338521279
How could the body still be down there to this day? He'd just be bones now they could pull him up and turn him to ash for the family to keep or scatter.
>>

I think they left him there and sealed off the cave.

Probably liability reasons. Nobody wants to be the one to make the call to such desperate, dangerous measures. Nobody wants to be put on leave while some committee of dudes who never would have even attempted the rescue rule on whether or not you are ultimately responsible for the retard's death.
It's career suicide even if it doesn't go to court, and it probably will go to court. Families always want somebody, anybody but their dumbfuck family member to blame.

Lacking the surgical equipment to save her from the effects of an amputation, the doctors present agreed that it would be more humane to let her die.[14] In all, Sánchez suffered for nearly three nights (roughly 60 hours) before she died at approximately 10:05 A.M.[14] on November 16 from exposure,[21] most likely from gangrene or hypothermia.[20]

>According to the story, at some point in or around June 1947 (Gaddis and others list the approximate date as early February 1948), two American vessels navigating the Strait of Malacca, City of Baltimore and Silver Star, among others, picked up distress messages from Dutch merchant ship Ourang Medan. A radio operator aboard the troubled vessel sent the following Morse code message: "S.O.S. from Ourang Medan * * * we float. All officers including the Captain, dead in chartroom and on the bridge. Probably whole of crew dead * * *." A few confused dots and dashes later two words came through clearly. They were "I'm dying." Then, nothing more. When Silver Star crew located and boarded the apparently undamaged Ourang Medan in a rescue attempt, the ship was found littered with corpses (including the carcass of a dog) "[s]prawled on their backs, the frozen faces upturned to the sun with mouths gaping open and eyes staring, the dead bodies resembled horrible caricatures", with no survivors and no visible signs of injuries on the dead bodies. A fire then broke out in the ship's No. 4 cargo hold, forcing the boarding parties to evacuate the Dutch freighter, thus preventing any further investigation. Soon after, Ourang Medan was observed to explode and sink.

If you have an all knowing, all powerful and all good God, then the world must not have any evil.
Everything we perceive as evil must actually be for the greater good, else the all knowing would know of it, and since he is all good he'd want to fix it, and since he is all powerful he could, and would.

Thus, philosophically speaking, christianity necessitates that there is no evil, and every dead child or broken limb is for the greater good overall. You are just too small and limited to see his grand design.

>On February 26, the searchers found the group's abandoned and badly damaged tent on Kholat Syakhl. The campsite baffled the search party. Mikhail Sharavin, the student who found the tent, said "the tent was half torn down and covered with snow. It was empty, and all the group's belongings and shoes had been left behind." Investigators said the tent had been cut open from inside. Eight or nine sets of footprints, left by people who were wearing only socks, a single shoe or were even barefoot, could be followed, leading down toward the edge of a nearby woods, on the opposite side of the pass, 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) to the north-east. However, after 500 metres (1,600 ft) these tracks were covered with snow. At the forest's edge, under a large cedar, the searchers found the visible remains of a small fire, along with the first two bodies, those of Krivonischenko and Doroshenko, shoeless and dressed only in their underwear. The branches on the tree were broken up to five metres high, suggesting that one of the skiers had climbed up to look for something, perhaps the camp. Between the cedar and the camp the searchers found three more corpses: Dyatlov, Kolmogorova and Slobodin, who seemed to have died in poses suggesting that they were attempting to return to the tent. They were found separately at distances of 300, 480 and 630 metres from the tree.

If 2 of these translation have a different view on a thing, which translation is to be followed? The answer is you cant simply follow the text literaly you have to understand the meaning of those texts and decide how important that message is for you.

Your poor attempts are philosophy are cute.

If your god is all knowing, all good and all powerful, then he will know evil exists, he will want it to not exist, and he will be able to remove it.
An all powerful, all good, all knowing god cannot coexist with evil. They can't exist at the same time. Something has to give.
Either that evil isnt true evil, or the god isnt all good, or isnt all powerful, or isnt all knowing.
He must either not know there is evil, or not mind there is evil, or not be able to remove the evil.

You are really dumb and have a very poor grasp of christianity. For free will to exist there must be evil, and we have free will. People think about how awful some things are and why god would let that happen, but if there is an eternal afterlife, then what happens here on earth is practically nothing.

Imagine you start up a simulation game with a bunch of perfect AIs. It just runs its course without you, what some of the AIs do isn't your fault, maybe you intervene once in a while, maybe you don't. Now say that the simulation lasts ten minutes, and the AIs get complete paradise for 100 years afterwards.

While Japans imperialist views generally considered other Asians (and westerners) to be beneath them, I don't see how it justifies atomic bombing two mainly civillian cities. A number dragged out of my ass but likely somewhat accurate would be that 90% + didn't even have anything to do with the atrocities. They just lived and worked in Japan, a nation that was not democratic, thus giving them little chance to influence the current politics.
>>
>>338533231
God created humans'in his image'. That means humans possess capital F Free Will. Free will includes a capacity to commit evil. The only way God could remove evil is if he restricted humans' free will, which he is evidently unwilling to do. He steers people towards good via various means, but humans must be good of their free will, not because they have no other choice.

The key to make a god tier horror game is making the player re-experience the same horrifying spot again and again.
I don't know who even doubted fucking Guillermo del Toro, the guy is actually a genius.

>At age 25, Blanche Monnier had set her heart on marrying a lawyer, who was not to her mother's liking. Her disapproving mother locked her in a tiny room for 25 years. On May 23, 1901 the Paris Attorney General received an anonymous letter that revealed the secret incarceration. She was found in appalling conditions and rescued by police.

This is the only genuine argument for dropping the bombs. The rest are indefensible.

Whetever it is argument enough to say it was right, no idea. Japan had already lost the war at that point. It was more or less a lets grab as much of the Japanese Empire before the Soviet Union takes it kind of deal.

Anon, this argument has been had a million times. The alternatives were sustained bombings or a land invasion, and either would have protracted the war and caused more deaths on both sides than the nuking. The nukes worked because they were fucking terrifying. It wasn't the body count alone--the firebombing of Tokyo killed more than either atomic bomb, and arguably more than both of them--it was how sudden and efficient the bombs were.

So usa killed innocent civilians instead of soldiers.
Japsn stopped the war to make them stop killing civilians.

If people are created in his image, and there are people who are evil, does that mean god is part evil too?

If God is omniscient then he knows everything we will do. If we exercise free will and contradict what God thinks we will do then he's not omniscient.

Christianity is incompatible with free will. You are really dumb and have a very poor grasp of Christianity.

It's ironic with how many Chinese they killed, that they didn't like the same happening to them.

Seeing the mills running around with their limbs dangling all over was satisfying for some reason. Especially if you use the saw on them.

Though as long as he doesn't control our actions, don't we still have agency?

Not that I'm a Christian or anything, I just want to talk about this stuff.
