I completely disagree. Rome does have more variety, this is true but even the barbarian factions can be used completely differently.
Germania for example uses a mix of low tier phalanx troops and close combat specialists but doesn't have much in the way of cavalry.
Britain is more skirmish and chariot focused and Gaul is basically the middle ground of decent frontline spear units with some half decent cav and heavy infantry to pack some punch.
Thats just the main three Western Barbarian factions. I've played them all.

I might be wrong, but I believe that during the End Times the Empire and Vampire Counts actually allied together against Archaon. You could reasonably justify such an unholy alliance if you unite against Chaos.
Alternatively you can DL the day 1 mod that lets you both play the same race but with different characters.

She got the ball rolling on Vampirism but hasn't done anything of note or substance since. She is also primarily a diplomat/deceiver not a warrior. Warhammer Total War is more war heavy and less diplomacy focused than pretty much any previous installment of the series.
She would also be yet another caster LL which the VCs already have two of. The Vampire Counts currently have no dedicated melee LL.
This means VCs have 2, count 'em, fucking TWO options total.
We will either get

B. The Red Duke
I was initially 100% confident it would be Krell but honestly I think the Red Duke is rapidly becoming a more real possibility as they are also adding a new unit to the Vampire Counts shortly after launch with everyone and their grandmothers have basically assumed to be the Blood Knights (specifically, the Blood Dragons).
The Red Duke seems the most applicable of the iconic Blood Knights in the lore as Walach Harkon and Abhorash are too far removed from the current timeline to really be feasible options.
Don't even get me started on the dumb motherfuckers who want Isabella just because they forced her into a leadership role in End Times.

Nah, Vampires. I bought this game as soon as I saw that you could essentially farm battlefields for corpses. I am very keen to play as the Dwarfs though because I really like being on the defensive in battles and apparently this is their playstyle.
