This got me to try Shogun 2 with my bro. No idea what I'm doing. Any general tips for 1v1 skirmish? I'm not entirely sure how morale works but I tend to have my dudes start running away a lot.

Vampires, and I assume Tomb Kings when they get implemented, have ressurection strategy mechanics.
You also have attrition in corrupted/non corrupted ground, and have more options to incite rebellions.

at early-mid campaign yari and bow ashigaru should be the main bulk of your army, since no one in shogun uses shields and arrows are laser guided missile superiority can easily win you a battle, the most simple tactic is hammer and anvil - basically form a solid line of Yari in the yari wall formation and when it engages the enemy move either cavalry or in the abscense of cavalry or shock infantry just use whatever

The battles in Shogun ends after the first charge and relies on dumb unrealistic shit like super abilities on units

The latest fluff on Orcs in WHFB states they came to the Old World on the silver Space Ships of the Old Ones. They were attached as spores.
This essentially implied the Old Ones came from the 40k dimension (and AoS later implies there are infinite dimensions, but forget bout this) as they fled from the Enslavers + Necrontyr + C'tan + New Formed Chaos alliance. As we all know, Orks were a biological weapon made by the Old Ones and were fungus. So the Spore attaching to the ship, then landing in Old World to make Orcs, makes sense.
The only thing that DOESN'T make sense, is that in 40k, Orks will make weapons out of literally anything and will steal better weapons from dead people. They didn't in WHFB. So, nobody knows really.

While there are a bunch of vampire bloodlines in the lore, you'll be playing as a von carstein who believe themselves to be the rightful heirs of the Empire. They almost conquered it a few times ago back in the Vampire Wars but ended up getting rekt every time.

Brettonia isn't anything like the Empire other than both being populated by humans, them being a ducal monarchy as opposed to the Empire's "Holy Roman Empire but Germany." They're also really heavily based around the Grail mythos.

In short, slann don't do shit because GW doesn't allow them to.

Was proven that it didn't happen by the way. Be'lakor was killed by Archaon in the same year of that event and as we know daemons take 1 year and a 1 day to reform from death in the realm of Chaos. Plus due to the restrictions placed on him by the Chaos Gods, Be'lakor cannot exit the warp without a mortal summoning him.

Attila is a super polished version of Rome 2, with a nifty sanitation system that's supposed to emulate large populations of people in an area that hasn't achieved a good sanitation system.
That same system is sort of being carried over in different elements.

Basically have a solid line of infantry, peferably Spearmen or heavy infantry, then when the main line of the enemy commits to the battle and joins battle with your line send in your cavalry and shock troops around the rear to hit them in the ass.
Also, always keep a few reserves behind the main lines to deal with enemy cavalry and follow up charges and plug holes in the line.
