Only design that I didn't really love was the Cacodemon. They didn't feel smiley enough. :(
This redesign is pretty good. Don't really like the other ones. Or well, the imps are alright, I guess. The original ones never struck me as particularly inspired either, they were just these brown guys with spikes. The new ones look like aliens but whatever
This one is 'what were they thinking' tier

The classic Cyber Demon is such a good design. I like when things are straightforward, the best version of what they're meant to be. Thinking too far outside the box can just make the thing look alien.
Good example is Dragon's Dogma. The enemies are so satisfyingly classic, yet outstanding realizations because of how real they look and feel.
