Now i'm doing a second playthrough and buying DLC when it comes out. Best game ever probably.

Because Fallout 4 was one of the biggest Bethesda letdowns for me to date. Maybe even worse than Fallout 3 or Oblivion.

It's only not a bad game if you've have little to zero experience with RPGs and games in general. If you do, glaringly stupid stuff and shallowness becomes too much of a factor to ignore and the game becomes a chore to play.

Maybe they can fix the weapons, but other than that, I don't see the game becoming good.
Currently been playing it since release last night. Probably have about 5 hours in it, maybe a bit more.
Here are my thoughts so far:
>Great atmosphere in the world, Far Harbor is awesome. I enjoy it better than most of Boston, but then again Point Lookout was my favorite DLC of 3.
>Area is really a lot larger than I thought, said to be larger than Shivering Isles. Definitely bigger than any DLC in 3 or NV.
>New weapons and armor are great so far. There's a Winchester Repeater which I can't stop using. A new assault rifle that uses the repeater as a base but it's heavily modified to shoot radiation bullets. The cut harpoon gun from the base game is added in. Bear traps, few other odds and ends.
>Armor is basic fisherman gear, with the enemies wearing 'trapper' gear which is pretty neat armor. A couple of NPC's have some interesting unique clothing items.
>Just like Automatron, theres some new companions you can get. Since Far Harbor is it's own area, you can also make a LOT of the areas into settlements. Was surprised by this.
>Tons of missions and quests. Everytime I turned there was another quest. The main story of it is pretty interesting so far, revolves heavily around Nick, the Children of Atom, and the residents of Far Harbor.
>There's a new Vault to find, and with how much the base game was lacking in cool Vaults this was a great find for me.
All in all its basically like a little chunk of a Fallout game made into a standalone thing. Basically imagine Fallout 4 in like 1/10th or 1/15th its size. Remember Case Zero and Case West for Dead Rising 2? How they were basically Dead Rising 2, but a new area with a little chunk of the base game. That's how this feels to me, could've been sold as a standalone title had it been released in 2009.
Honestly it's the best DLC for Fallout released by Bethesda. I'd say maybe not by Obsidian, even though it's bigger than those the Obsidian DLCs had really great characters and amazing new clothes and guns.
