>itt: enemies that unnerve the fuck out of you
Did these things ever even attack you? Did an EP1 playthrough the other day and i swear to god they're just so fucking creepy.
well one ends up falling on alyx and tries to bite her face off, pretty freaky. I think if you spawn them in gmod they would shoot eye lasers at you. but really that's all. yeah they were weird but not as scary as poison headcrabs or poison headcrab zombie
They were scarier in HL2 when they weren't enemies and you didn't realize how weak they actually are

Compared to the rest of the enemies encountered in the game, these enemies walk slowly and erratically, making their appearance much more foreboding. As the player attacks them, parts of their plastic coatings will often be smashed off with each hit, revealing their mutilated skin underneath." FUCKING WHY THOUGH. WHAT WAS GOING ON IN THERE

Maybe I'd feel the same, had I played 64 as a kid. But today, going back to play it, they just seem a bit too... claymation to actually scare me.

It was the same as Resident Evil or any other poorly controlling horror game from the 90s and early 2000s. The problem with the series (especially the first game) wasn't so much the controls as it was being so ridiculously hard you pretty much needed a guide just to progress through the games.

Not an enemy. I kinda wish they were though, even if they'd just end up being bog-standard monsters.

Looks like Chinese dopefish.
Yeah the game sucks doggy balls, but the enemies were pretty scary.
Everything in this fucking game.
