I played the battleborn beta and it was laggy as shit. The overwatch beta played like a dream. The reason I'm buying overwatch is because I know, from the beta, it will be money well spent. While obviously a bait thread I find Battleborn more entertaining than Overwatch.
Battleborn is very VERY rough and I think would have done better at 40$ or something cheaper. However its more entertaining and has a bit more depth to it than Overwatch. After an hour I get all I can from Overwatch basically, all thats left is just getting better at aiming and communicating. Time will tell if patches can tighten up things like visual clutter but I hope Battleborn can build up to a decent game.

Yes they did. I don't argue the fact that they worked on it. I'm saying that they gave it up to Timegate in early 2011 before the E3 presentation.
And when i say they gave it up, they gave up everything they made for the game. Timegate however, under SEGA's explicit instructions, chucked out a good portion of the game to add more action moments to the campaign. This is easily verifiable information. When Sega came a-knocking and saw that Timegate had an unfinished turd that they helped create, they dragged Gearbox back as co devs to help make some sense of the title. This was also the point where they added the female characters.

The game was announced the day the agreement went into effect. The layoffs(which were about Borderlands 1 needing to cut content) were almost a year and a half of after any reasonable production had been into effect.

Gearbox was working on the game until possibly early 2011 or late 2010 when they wanted to go full Borderlands. Sega wanted a cheaper developer so with Gearbox's permission they gave an almost completed game to the Section 8 dorks and they decided they wanted more action in the game. Gearbox are liars for going along with this bullshit and not informing the public like what has happened with Dead Island 2 but Sega did this move to begin with.
Sega releases shitty, broken games all the time. ACM was no different than Sonic Free Riders or Sonic Boom.
