What's the best Zelda game, and why is it Link's Awakening?
Why are they called legend of Zelda is they primarily feature the adventures of Link?

Just enjoy the games that you enjoy and be thankful that your favorite action-adventure series still gets new games. I hate how many great action-adventures from back in the day only got one or two sequels or none at all.

What the fuck?
>>337225416
y cant metroid crawl?
LA remake or enhanced port when?
The way the controls are set up with the inventory fucking sucks.
Its the only downside of this game.
Reminder that there's an LA editor if you like dicking around with that

Yeah? Name some.

The Quintet trilogy of great SNES action-adventures: Soul Blazer -- Illusion of Gaia/Time -- Terranigma.
The two Story of Thor/Beyond Oasis games.
Landstalker (my all time favorite). Yes, I know about the spiritual successors and whatnot but it never got a proper sequel.
Alundra. Alundra 2 was a very different game.

I haven't even heard of most of those

Then you probably weren't around during the 16/32-bit generations.
>>337228325
I was, I just wasn't exposed to video games until much later.
>>337225341
this one is too convoluted and confusing for my tastes, Majora's Mask is my pick
Also, your post
>>337228176
kind of proves my original point. Action-adventures are pretty much dead right now, except for Zelda games. All of the games that I mentioned above deserved more sequels. I'd love to see more new IPs in the genre. But Zelda is pretty much the only worthwile series left so we should be glad for every new game that we get (as long as it doesn't turn out to be complete shit, of course). But I'd take a mediocre Zelda over no new action-adventures at all.

A Link to the Past. No question. LA and OoT are tied for second for me.
>>337228758
>I'd love to see more new IPs in the genre
*I'd *also love
>>337228758
I feel the same about 3D platformers. At least there's always Mario.
>>337228931
>I feel the same about 3D platformers.
Yes we need more of those too. RTS and SRPGs have been slacking as well. There used to be so many worthwile series and promising new IPs and now they pretty much niche genres.

LA isn't even the best GB Zelda.
and everyone knows Link to the Past is the best Zelda game. Come on now.
>>337229238
That's just what happens when something becomes as mainstream as gaming has become. The entire medium goes through a process of homogenization.
>>337229480
>isn't even the best GB Zelda
Seasons fag detected.
>>337229480
>>337229580
Seasons was okay, I liked the dungeons. But there was too much stupid shit like the animal buddies and all the Subrosia stuff that I never finished it. I never played Ages.

>that image
Just seeing it made the song instantly pop into my head. That's crazy.
Also yes LA is best Zelda
The best zelda game isall except wind waker
>>337225341
I love Link's Awakening but it baffles me how clunky the picking up sutff, why it couldn't be context sensitive?
>>337231735
>he didn't enjoy the sailing
>>337225341
Zelda 2 is better
my name is happy shinozaki and majora's mask is my favorite
>>337233090
Zelda 2 wastoo hard
>>337233979
I'm extremely biased towards it, and it is immensely difficult. Unfortunately it doesn't feel like you're playing a complete game until you get the down/up slash and a few spells, but as far as SIdescroller-RPGs go it's pretty good. Especially for it's time.

I'd like a remake of Z2
Best handheld game, but not best overall.
>>337229832segA
>>337234869
Pros:
>Modern day pixel art
>Better interface
>Proper translations
>Difficulty settings (Classic, Easy, Nightmare)
Cons:
>Modern Nintendo hand holding
>Treehouse translations
>>337234869
Fuck a remake. They should make a sequel, tbqh. But that probably won't happen if we can't even get a proper 2(.5)D Metroid.
>>337235734
What's wrong with treehouse translations?
