Probably an unpopular choice but this game felt so unique conpared to most MMO's out there. Such a shame it is closing down this month for good. Sigh

Yup. Aeria, Atlus and Marvelous USA had it running until they closed it down while the server in Japan was still on. They recently announced it is closing near the end of this month and were going to focus all of their attention on the mobile crap. I could never get past the language anyways but it is still a shame that we might be losing this game forever. However, there is a small team on the western forums saying they are working on a private server; I have my fingers crossed.
How do I enjoy the first SMT game? The encounter rate is just so high and it's frustrating, not fun.

Nope, but I've heard only bad things about it. Apparently what was released was a single player version of the MMO that was 50% finished at best.
There's a few webms floating around of the endings though, and there was some cool shit going on there.
