The aesthetics don't make it "grand" anon. Instead of being about a whole planet, it could instead be about intelligent ants in a backyard, while the game itself could play the exact same way with the same number of factions and all the same rules, and it would still be the same genre.

I play a lot of grand strategy, all the Paradox games. Victoria 2 looks super intimidating, but it's easy as long as you pick a great or secondary power. The economy is fairly complex, but usually won't entirely run itself into the ground if you leave it alone.
It is pretty hard if you pick a weak country though. Communist Argentina was a lot of fun and I made it a great power, but that was pretty hard. Planned economy is the best, but you have to know what you are doing.
Time for round 2. This race are the successor race of humans on a barren Earth post-human extinction. They discovered the ruins of human civilisation at an early point in their development and modelled their civilisation on our own.

First when I launched Stellaris, it gave me the msvcp100.dll missing error.
I then reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64). Same error. Then I manually downloaded the .dll and put it near game and still same error.
