I hated the forced edginess, the pull away from fun colourful island plaforming, the focus on vehicles and a semi-open hub area with police who chase you for being naughty and stealing vehicles, the focus on magic powers and supercool dark emo jak with his super powers. It was blatantly trying to cash in on the success of the gta 3 open world formula but it was horseshit. The levels felt disjointed, the story sucked, you didn't care about the characters, the vehicle control was clumsy.
