MGS2 or MGS1, can't decide. MGS2 is the overall better game, but there is more nostalgia for MGS1.

MGS3. I just enjoyed the story, characters, and environmental change a lot from MGS1 and 2. Also, the bosses, to me at least, feel like some of the best in the series. Or at least the most creative and interesting.
I liked 1, held up really well and felt "cinematic" without being a full blown movie.
1>2=3>PW>4. Haven't played much of V yet.

Nostalgia. I was a kid when I played it.
I'm an adult now and realize the whole series is trash but I still have a soft spot for MGS because my new awareness of aging and mortality has made me long for the simpler days of youth and naivete and MGS brings me back to those days. Well it doesn't really, it just depresses me, but I desperately cling to my nostalgia none the less.

First two levels are fucking god tier, third level would have been okay if there had been another like the first two levels, and shadow Moses is fucking great. Old Snake is best Snake, broke my god damn heart. Faggots who didn't like the cut scenes need to git out of muh mgs. You are the reason we got garbage tapes.
I'd say it's a toss up between MGS1 and 3 I haven't really been able to play MGS2 more than twice through cause a dick of a friend broke my disc and refused to buy me a new one

4 had the best gameplay but was terrible after act-2, in my opinion.
Way too many cutscenes. And they cut out the fighting that was supposed to take place between enemies.
I'd still choose 3 overall.

/v/ is not one person OP, but on topic mine are portable ops, peace walker and 5 because its not just snake you get to build an army.
capturing and eating stuff from 3 should be in all MGS games though...they freaking nailed it.
