The problem is that you have to exit to go into a menu that puts the game on standby. This essentially means that you have no access to the home menu when you're playing online and even then in Smash you have to quit out to the title screen to open the home menu if you connect online. Thanks senpai I just wish I could 1v1 more people like you. It's the only way I can get better and I don't know anyone locally who I can't beat contrary to how poor my online performance appears to be. I'm use to frame perfect moves and playing online makes me nervous normally I can perfect shield Marth's shield breaker perfect shielding is my only approach.

Online is different in terms of move delay, and there is built in delay no matter how you play sadly. I don't think you're doing too poorly, you just need to be more mindful on when to approach and when to back-off/punish.
For Ganon you really only have jab, D-Tilt, U-Smash, and falling U-Air that you can just throw out relatively safely. With that in mind, you need to bait your opponent into your range and to overextend (doing an aerial right against your shield for example). I think you'll learn that stuff the more you play, and the more players you can face who have that ability so you can see what you're doing compared to them. Did you save any replays? I would recommend so whether you win or lose that way you can study yourself and look at what you did and see if you would do anything differently as you watch. Did you feel you had a particular problem in matchup, stages, etc. besides just being nervous?

Well In the first match I was carefully spacing my punch because I know there's a small detached hitbox at the end of his palm, but then I SD'd and I noticed the latency was different and I started to play less confidently.

That sounds like an easy fix then. Confidence in yourself and intimidating the opponent are both very real factors that come into play, but if you're able to hold your own in hard-fought matches you'll build up endurance to it and learn to shrug off SDs more often without affecting your mindset. I'm not sure where in NA you are, but perhaps find some anons here around your skill level or better that are in your timezone so you can have a variety to practice against.

For Marth, if he does an aerial (besides maybe falling U-Air) he will have landing lag. You want to have him approach and punish. Marth vs. Ganon is in Ganon's favor, since he makes up any difference in damage, is much heavier, and has comparable range. If Marth is doing any move besides a smash attack, you should be able to stuff it out with F-Tilt or D-Tilt without getting hurt yourself.
Ike has it easier since he has combos, more reach, and is also heavy. The best thing you can do is punish aerials besides short-hopped ones and tilts/smashes. With Ganon you really have to play the bait and punish game often since he doesn't have many tools to force someone to approach him.
I don't play Cloud, but for him you need to gimp him anytime you can. Do a U-Air or N-Air offstage and if timed well he won't comeback without limit. Walk, not run, if you need to since you can react and shield or anything else much quicker while closing the distance between you.

Offstage is my favorite, so I'm glad you have good taste as well. Counter can be scary, but all the more reason for you to practice stage techs. Also you have the benefit of having a recovery without a hitbox.

Only the fist at the very end can hurt, the rest is just a grab. So that means you can condition your opponent to either expect your hug or an aerial, and then do the opposite one. I brought it up because that means I can't counter your recovery. Ike and Roy can't really counter offstage, or at least can't do it without risk, because that puts them in danger of dying
