The age of dark is not the Abyss.
Darkness =/= the Abyss. Not every shadow is wild humanity, and the Abyss doesn't temporarily consume the world every night when the sun sets. The Age of Dark is simply a world without fire, where darkness is the rule of the age. You get a taste of such a place when you visit the Untended Graves. Does the darkness there INSTANTLY kill you like the Abyss does in DaS1? No, because it's not the Abyss, it's simply what the world looks like in the absence of light.
Peoples humanity doesn't go wild naturally, it had to be provoked. Manus was a normal-ass man until he was corrupted and resurrected be outrageous Oolacile rituals. The Pus of Man in DaS3 is highly linked to the bullshit experiments of Oceiros and the Lothric Scholars, since you don't find them anywhere else except downtown Lothric, they're concentrated in Ocerios' garden, and they are reanimating whole dragons with that shit.
The Abyss is like a dark counterpart to the Chaos Flame, it has to be provoked via artificial means and it then proceeds to hideously mutate everything near it. It's probably located underneath Londor, since Kaathe hangs out there, but according to DaS2, after manus died shards splintered off of the main body and bits of the Abyss can be found all over the world

Actually it kind of makes sense if you assume the Age of Ancients is actually part of the cycle. As we've already seen, Giants, or at least SOME giants, become trees over time when they die. So I've been wondering this for a while, but why is every npc and humanoid that isnt your character or shrine npc so tall.

So I have been fine tuning this idea for awhile but there are still many flaws. I got it when an anon in a thread about a week ago asked why we can't see leaves and branches above us in ds3 firelink like we could in ds1 firelink.
I have a theory that these archtrees we know about are infact the foundation of the world, not just found in ashlake and smouldering lake. The world is built on these enormous trees and as the ages pass the world is shaped and altered, branches spread out and come together over time. This could explain why Drangleic refers to Lordran as a far away land yet we find relics of both in Lothric and the surrounding areas. This would explain a lot but there is still the argument it's just a shitty theory and the characters/items that give hints towards previous games are just there for fanservice which dark souls 3 surely isn't lacking.

They're the same thing, the "twist" of the first game is that being hollow is the natural state and that having the dark soul is the +1. Humans are just the most fragile because the Dark Soul is much less potent/more fractured than the other three Lordsouls.

There are two miracles. Bountiful Sunlight and Soothing Sunlight. We find one on the Dancer and one on Rosaria. They are stating that the miracle being on Rosaria is proof that she's Gwynevere. We are responding that the other identical miracle being on Dancer is proof that she isn't, because she can't be both simultaneously.
Their counter argument is that the miracles aren't identical, because one says 'granted to maidens of Gwynevere' and the other says 'Granted by Gwynevere'.
