it's the reason they did this. During all the open beta sessions they did, they had VAC keep track of all the LMAO shitters hacking (they had also used it in a UGC thing too I think before) and then yesterday, they rolled out bans to everyone VAC detected with the cheats.

Why would you hack in TF2 of all games? From my experience playing back in 2009-2012 it was something you played just to shoot the shit and relax with friends.
I totally understand it with something like CSGO, where there are ranks and prestige to be had, and people care about e-peen waving. But with TF2 there is no incentive whatsoever to hack.Whether you do good or poorly is irrelevant because no stats are recorded, and people hardly cared about skill or technique. Nobody cared if you were good at TF2. All the gameplay was purely for the sake of having fun and nothing else.
