Atlus might say whatever, but after DAN I can at least say that Japanese voice work is consistent, and they keep the same VAs for the characters across all the games unless something really weird happens.
And even if what people say is true about people who don't understand lamnguage not being able to make out the quality of voice work, isn't that just a point in favor of JP audio? If they can't tell how good or bad it is, so they'd blissfully listen even bad voicing. On the other hand they understand English, and would be able to tell if voicing is poor.

The purism thing is retarded though because no one in Japan talks the way they do in anime and 98% of Japanese anime gets shit wrong anyway.
Vocabulary and grammar aren't up to par with the actual Japanese language and the dialects are always the same(from Tokyo) regardless of where a character is suppose to be from.
