Flashsword is a spell though, the weapon is used to cast the spell. And it's a rather nice weapon when you have both sword spells attuned, it makes you pretty unpredictable in a fight.

Wut? I'm actually disappointed because items and armor are too easy to get. DaS1 had you farming for hours to get all types of titanite or that fucking Balder Side Sword, but DaS3 gives most of that shit to you and even restricts you from acquiring some items until you've reached a certain point. If Luck didn't also increase bleed attacks it would be a completely useless stat as item find is pointless.

I honestly fucking love the new gimped invasion system, its no longer

Now you actually have to slowly fight them through the level, baiting them into attacking the next set of enemies, then jumping down on them out of nowhere and trying to cut down some of the phantoms to even the score, or just going balls out against the host.
I actually won 4/5 of my free cracked orb invasions, and they were all insane fun.

Right, there's reasons to do it mechanically. But there's a lot of bloodstains you can look at where people, a lot of people, have killed themselves with slow bleed damage. Maybe I just noticed this a lot in Bloodborne, but the Old Abandoned Workshop was a full of bloodstains because of this.

I disagree. The problem with high level pvp is people have TOO MUCH killing power. You never died this fast in previous souls games, and its one of the reasons that I feel that high level Das3 pvp isn't really as fun as the previous two entries. Serious fights are over in 1-2 exchanges, whereas fights between two skilled players could literally last several minutes in 1 and 2 before someone managed to pull out a win.
Theres nothing interesting or fun about parrying some dudes first attack and one shotting him with a hornet ring riposte. Its just like

Now after some time using it, I find it a must have to be honest. The extra status really helps a lot, especially if you are doing a low level run.
The double damage doesnt bother me that much because I dodge most attacks and I use rings that increase defense anyway. I'm guessing if you use a shield you will never even notice its a thing.
