That argument doesn't apply at all. The only thing remotely similar about games and movies is they are both watched on a screen. Turning off the music to game doesn't ruin the experience and mood. You can cherry pick some fucking rythm games sure. But a movie is designed to be a passive experience, the music is crucial to setting the proper mood. In a game the effect can vary, certain players may need it to get immersed in the story, but a lot of players just turn all the music off and substitute their own.
