Some events occur (won't spoil this part) and Lincoln goes after Vito, but Vito says "I can't let you do that" and ends up killing Lincoln. The endgame is pretty much free-roaming as Vito.
The storyline is really good and you will definitely enjoy it.

Mafia II was one of the worst games I've played.
The actual shooting and driving was okay, but it was the WORST game I've played in terms of time spent playing vs time spent watching cutscenes / following commands / being a walking simulator.
It was literally "go here, watch this, drive here, watch this" without any player freedom whatsoever.

PhysX, proper weight to the cars, the tires would dampen and flatten slightly in size from the weight distribution when driving and you could also feel it affect the traction. Great looking tire smoke, and great feel of power of the cars etc.
It was great to play, surprisingly realistic from an otherwise lacking game.
