Yes, it adds a ridiculous amount of stuff that enhance the gameplay. Some of the best boss fights in the series are in it too.

I wish I had the opportunity you have now to enjoy the main game + DLC all at once. DaS 3 can wait til you're finished with Bloodborne. I got both games and I honestly think BB is better, though DaS 3 is shaping up to be another classic as well
