i played both of them, they are both great but BB is a better game overall, the biggest problem with DS3 is its familiarity whilst bloodborne manage to change up things just enough to feel fresh especially with the vastly different atmosphere level design and lovecraftian monster designs, DS3 has pretty good boss fights too but again they do fall into a familiar territory as appossed to the oh shit moments of say ludwig, martyr logarius, or father gascoigne.

Invaders are the danger to human form. Not twinks. An invader is something a player can beat if they are at least a bit better than the invader. A twink is just a nearly impossible challenge, depending on where you are in the game. I've twinked before and every fight (with a non-twink) was a complete wash, just a hopeless challenge for whoever I was invading.
Every death in Souls games is avoidable, with very few exceptions. With the exception of Alt-f4 or disconnecting, twinking is not. It's just something that goes against the design goals of the game.

Root dungeons are randomly generated. The non-root chalices, which are the only ones you need to play if you just want to see what it's all about and fight the chalice dungeon exclusive bosses, are fixed, but they of course still use the rooms the randomly generated ones do, so you'll see repetition. Chalice Dungeons are enjoyable for a short while if you like to just dungeon dive for loot and fight enemies and bosses without caring too much about the level design.
Unfortunately, there's not too much to chalice dungeons unless you're really just in it for the bosses. While there are new ones, a bunch are recycled, and sometimes you'll walk into a room and see a regular enemy like a brainsucker given a boss health bar. You don't need to grind to get through all of the "unique" content, but you do need to really explore every dungeon to get all of the materials required, and with the repetitive room designs, it will feel like grinding even if you're in a totally new area.
The only thing doing root dungeons and continuing to do chalice dungeons in general has to offer you after you've fought all the new bosses are Lost and Uncanny versions of the game's weapons, which differ only in gem slots, and powerful gems. And you don't need powerful gems except to do the more dangerous dungeons to get even more powerful gems. It's very cyclical, and pretty much only benefits people who like to minmax, REALLY like Bloodborne's combat, or PvPers.

I found thinking about how to progress through them kind of a pain at first, even though it isn't really complicated. You get more chalices within the chalice dungeons themselves. As long as you ignore anything with root in the name, just go through the Pthumeru ones in order and you'll pretty much see everything. You get Ailing Loran from Amygdala in the story, and Isz from Ebrietas, but you only ever need to go into Ailing Loran to get like two ritual materials, you can ignore Isz. Besides the unlimited grass, I actually can't think of a flaw for Demon's Souls. The gameplay was more fun than both Dark Souls games because it was just plain faster.
Bloodborne fixed the grass issue by limiting you on blood vials, but running out of blood vials in the early game sucked complete ass and it was lame as fuck if you had to go grind for some more. I'm pretty sure it sucked for everyone on their first playthrough if they were garbage at the game.

DaS2 is the hardest IMO (if you're not counting Chalice Dungeons). DeS is by far the easiest followed by DaS1.
DaS's areas are really easy and the enemy numbers are generally low, on top of broken OP poise, armour resistances and shield stability in that game. There's too much broken shit for it to be hard and the only 'hard' bosses are O&S, Arty and Manus.

the gameplay's definitely a step down; just allowing for shields in the game lets a lot of lazy enemy movesets get built. and trick weapons were VASTLY superior to weapon arts. playing something like kos parasite in BB dictated your entire build and playstyle, but weapon movesets are more homogenized than ever in DS3; a lot of the time, they'll even have the same weapon art
