Imperial Commando will have a slight Clone Wars feel to it. The game is supposed to take place pretty much only a year or so after Episode III so there is bound to be some prequel kind of stuff

Thats actually a good question. It is purely a singleplayer campaign of Battlefront, so I'm not totally sure if it will keep the upgrade system that is currently used.

Nothing that I can confirm for sure, but the idea is definitely there. I wouldn't be too suprised if they are. There are parts of the game that require you to track down Jedi, so a Inquisitor cameo wouldn't be too far fetched.

As far as I know, it is fully EAs doing. Disney is actually very lenient with letting creators do what they want with the IP, as long as Storygroup oversees it and makes sure it doesn't contradict anything canon. EA definitely knows that the fans want more. That is why Force Conflict is being released in the first place

Who would be working on that battlefront? The live team is doing dlc and instant action, the main dice sweden is doing BF5, DICE la is like a 10 man maintanance crew and US PR outfit for DICE games and respawn, and then the battlefront launch team is working on battlefront 2. They don't even have set plans for all the live dlc yet, much less a stand alone single player game that would take massive manhours. Thats why they're doing instant action.

How long does the contract with EA last? I remember it being announced they would do at least 3 games back when Disney bought Lucasfilm.
If EA can make a good game I'll be okay with them keeping it, but for the benefit of both Star Wars fans and people who enjoy good games, it's in their best interest for EA to no longer have the exclusive contract.

Eh, theres still plenty of hope. Battlefront was rushed as fuck thanks to lucasarts. It was like a 20 month project at best. Given more free time its looking a bit better these days, and the outer rim maps are all fantastic, as is survivors of endor. Balance is much improved and instant action is coming soon, plus 2 much better themed map packs. The visceral project has been dedicated a real dev cycle, and battlefront 2 should as well plus it will be able to crib assets from 1, rather than being totally from scratch.

Ignore Battlefront and Star Wars all together; it's a symptom, not a cause. EA focuses on multiplayer and DLC, because that generates the most revenue. This isn't unique to Battlefront. They gouge the consumer in every way they can, and they ignore detractors by pointing to sales figures and claiming they're simply fulfilling a desire. It's disgusting and insidious. And I will not buy any EA products because of it.

Multiplayer also generally provides more longevity than single player, as shooting real people is infinitely more challenging than shooting bots and provides a different experience match after match. I like single player too, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't have dumped 300 hours into a 20 month to make sp game, where I have with battlefront off and on.
