A little while back people were debating if they could even call Hbox a god anymore. Not only has he proved everyone wrong, he did it fairly quickly. Now PP is arguably in the hotseat for weakest god/non-god. Pratice Dash Dancing in different lengths mixxing in fox trots and wavedashes.
If your head doesn't hurt visualizing the DD ranges or thinking about it you aren't DD camping well enough.

By that I mean, in this video, its a match of two players that are known to be good, playing a Bayonetta ditto, and finally, the announcers just basically spell it out: "Its more interesting then any other kind of match in Smash 4, because its like a top tier match in Melee." Its like Fox vs Fox, even though people may "complain" about it, nobody can deny that its exciting to watch. Also, its enjoyable that Smash 4 babbies are whining about how good she is, yet all matches that involve her are fun and actually entertaining to watch.
I know, "tr4sh", "nice blog faggot", etc, etc, but I just wanted to get the honest opinions of some Melee fans, do you agree that, at the very least, Bayonetta is the most entertaining thing about this slow, floaty, boring shit show of a game? That these whiny butthurt people complaining about her also want the metagame to return to being slow and boring to watch?
I guess in the end, it comes down to which is more important? The entertainment value in watching the match? Or the matches having character variety? I used to be for variety, but now that I have seen some rather convincing Bayonetta matches, I actually prefer Fox vs Fox in Melee, because, to be honest, its more exciting.

They added in the "Special Attack sticking" option through a patch which lets you use a stick for special moves. If they remove the 1-frame direction input from it, the special stick wouldn't work anymore.

I do not get why they made Smash C-Stick work the way it does. It makes the game act like your regular control stick is stuck in neutral until you first return the C-Stick back to neutral.
Tilt C-Stick may still have some issues, but it at least lets the Control Stick input register after frame 1.

Melee is an execution heavy game and switching between the innate lag of netplay and a good solid CRT setup at a local is hard.
I know Netplay can teach you tons of fundamentals. One of the best players in my region bodies me and he used to be a netplay warrior. Still he has to adjust to the different timings every time he goes to a local and it makes a difference especially in bracket.
Fundamental tech skill is important(Marth CG, Up throw -> Up Air, Up throw -> rest,etc.) When shit hits the fan you need to be able to do that shit without thought.

Melee is a tech heavy game but you won't get anywhere without fundamentals, this goes for all fighters. Adjusting to lag for /most/ people should be a matter of just playing casuals for an hour or so pre-bracket. This is the case for me and a few buddies as well.

Anthers Ladder has a decent guide on how to Melee netplay. If you have an adapter (Official, Mayflash, whatever) then you can use your GC controller. Dolphin has built in support for the Smash4 GC adapter, but anything should work.
