QRs are mostly for those who just want the Mii, otherwise you have access to all Miis of the people on your friends list for Miifotos. The difference is you don't get to use their outfits if you got them from the QR.

I'm learning a lot about others on here, some aren't as meme filled as I thought they would be. Some good discussion coming out of questions and answers. Trying to avoid the female attention whores, but have met a couple that aren't that bad or aren't as known as others.

At the home menu, press the QR page and make one for whichever mii. Then you can save it on the device, send it to an email or post it on twitter, among other things. That's the only way I found at least.

I'm sorry but adding only via Facebook, Twitter and "live" is a huge limit. Not everyone has IRL friends into videogames. Not everyone has Facebook or Twitter "firends" into videogames. Not everyone has a fucking Facebook or Twitter account to begin with.
Making a fake twitter account is also a pain in the ass and kills the purpose of the MyNintendo account.
They MUST give you the chance to add Miitomo friends also with the MyNintendo account and with a NNID, so you don't have to share sensible infos with strangers. Goddamn it.
