I'm pretty sure The Order is closer to Dieselpunk than it is to Steampunk. Dieselpunk actually has the potential to be great, while Steampunk is just kind of mediocre.
Cyberpunk is a genre and is known for high-quality media such as Bladerunner, Deus Ex, Ghost in the Shell, etc.

Its one of those periods of history that lends itself well to video games and narratives in general. But instead we get shit like Damnation and Darkwatch.
The concept of "steampunk" needs to just fucking die already. It's just a bastardization of the real Victorian era, which is way more interesting and should just replace "steampunk" while a game is still on the drawing board.
