That's not entirely true. I stopped paying attention pretty quickly so I don't know how long it lasted, but there was an entire IRC chatroom dedicated to coordinating operations against Gawker/SJWs in the early days, and I really doubt that stopped.
This does not mean that everyone involved in GG was coordinating strategies, for the most part it was just a loose affiliation of people who felt the same way and used the same hashtags, but there has most definitely been a core group that worked as a team with specific objectives.
