he can increase his angular momentum by extending the sword pre-jump, then pull it closer to his body to decrease rotational inertia
instead, he does none of that, gains magic momentum as you said and then ALSO wastes all of it on a light-weight object, killing any momentum of the sword and practically swinging it with shoulder-power alone

The two clubs are top-tier. Great stunlock and poise break, top-tier 2HWRR1, excellent wakeup and the large club can pressure with poison.
The MSGS is also high tier once you learn to stop spamming R1. WDR1-R1-R2 is a consistent combo that can dead-angle, stunlocks at under 56 poise and consistently pushes out 1000+ damage.
But yeah, I completely agree that the top-tiers were filled with dex shit.

Stunlock doesn't matter against competent players as they'll toggle out. There's a reason poking weapons are so popular in Dark Souls pvp. Breaking poise isn't as important as safely taking shots at your opponent.
