In a nutshell, draw more. You can't expect to learn how to draw like a master overnight. Do studies on nude models before moving on to clothes. Yeah, that's what I usually do. Pic related is about the quality I can hit when I REALLY take my time (which quite honestly, despite its issues, I'm pretty satisfied with it). The biggest problem is, doing something like this legitimately usually takes me over a WEEK to complete. Like, 15-20+ hours of work for something that should only take a fraction of that time, because I meticulously obsess over and refine every single line on the sketch layer to make sure it's as perfect as I can get it, and then do it all again for the line layer.
I've been trying to improve my speed by drawing and lining faster and not being such a perfectionist, but then my quality GREATLY suffers as you could see before with that Terry Bogart thing I did earlier. There's no middle ground for me yet. Really, my only goal now is to be able to complete an average drawing within 40 minutes to an hour.

One tip: Motions is by far the single most important thing you can learn. Contruction and line control are great, but a dead looking drawing is the worst thing you can do. When figure drawing, lways follow motion NEVER follow line. Doesnt matter how close you got to the original, if you followed line, its wrong.
